Darjeeling, one of the most famous hill stations of India; is located in the state of West Bengal. The Darjeeling town is located at an elevation of about 6710 feet. Darjeeling is situated on the Shiwalik Hills, which forms the lower range of the Himalayan Mountains. Darjeeling, the beautiful hill station of West Bengal, India is world famous for tea production. Orchards of Orange and extensive tea-gardens are seen in Mirik. Ghoom At a distance of about only 6 km this beautiful tourist spot is located. The main attraction of Ghoom is the Yiga Choeling Monastery. This religious place belongs to the Yellow Hat Sect. Manuscripts from Tibet, rare collection of images of Lord Buddha are preserved here. Darjeeling-Rangit Valley Passenger Cable Car This is one of the popular attractions in Darjeeling. It is also known as the ropeway, which connects Singla Bazaar with Darjeeling. Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (also called the Darjeeling Zoo) is a 67.56-acre (27.3 ha) zoo in the town of Darjeeling in the Indian state of West Bengal.  is the largest high altitude zoo in India. It specializes in breeding animals adapted to alpine conditions, and has successful captive breeding programs for the snow leopard, the critically endangered Himalayan wolf and the red panda. The zoo attracts about 300,000 visitors every year.

The Batasia Loop is a spiral railway created to lower the gradient of ascent of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway in Darjeeling district of West Bengal, India. At this point, the track spirals around over itself through a tunnel and over a hilltop. It is 5 km from Darjeeling, below Ghum. There is also a memorial to the Gorkha soldiers of the Indian Army who sacrificed their lives after the Indian Independence in 1947.
