    Assembly:

The ears can be assembled as upright or as floppy ears, depend-

ing on how you attach them to the top of the hat. The constructionof the ears will allow them to stand upright without inserting any

    other substance inside.

When stitching the pieces together I stitch between the posts of sc

round and the final ss round (it tends to hide the stitches within the

    work).

Before stitching them to the hat, I count stitches from the middle

of the hat to try to ensure that they are evenly placed. You can use

bits of yarn to mark placement (or safety pins).

Eyes (make two of each of the following) using

    5.5 mm hook

Black Pupils using black (Bernat Softee

    Chunky)

    Round 1: 4 sc in a AL [4]

Round 2: 2 sc in each st around [8]

Round 3: ss around and FO

Brown Iris using dark taupe (Bernat SofteeChunky)

    Round 1: 5 sc in a AL [5]

Round 2: 2 sc in each st around [10]

Round 3: 2 sc in each of the first 3sts, ss around

    and FO [13]
