一對夫婦在婚後十一年生了一個男孩，夫妻恩愛，男孩自然是二人的寶。

One couple was blessed with a son after 11 years

of marriage. Naturally, the son is the pearl to the loving couple’s eyes.

男孩兩歲的某一天，丈夫在出門上班之際，看到桌上有一藥瓶打開了，不過 ; 因為趕時間，他只揚聲妻子把藥瓶收好，然後就關上門上班去。

The boy was two years old .

One day, the husband was about to go to work when he saw on the table a bottle of medicine left open.

As he was in a hurry, he told the wife loudly to replace the bottle with the cover.

After which he closed the door and left.

妻子在廚房忙得團團轉，就忘了丈夫的叮囑。男孩拿藥瓶，覺得好奇、又被藥水的顏色所吸引，於是一飲而盡。 藥水成份厲害，即使成人服用也只能用少量。

The wife was very busy in the kitchen and forgot all about what the husband told her to do.

The boy took the medicine bottle.

As he was curious and attracted by the color, he drank all the medicine.

The dosage was strong . And an adult should only take a small amount of it.

男孩 OD （ Overdose 服藥過量），被送到醫院後，返魂乏術。 妻子被事實嚇呆了，不知如何面對丈夫。緊張的父親趕到醫院，得知噩耗非常傷心，看兒子的屍體，望了妻子一眼，然後說了四個字。

The boy was sent to the hospital but died of overdose.

The wife was very frightened and did not know how to face the husband.

The worried husband rushed to the hospital and was very sad to learn the bad news.

After looking at the son’s body, he looked at the wife and said four words.

作者叫讀者猜，這丈夫說了四個甚麼字？

The author wishes to ask the readers to guess these four words.

答案是：I love you darling !

Answer:

I love your darling!

作者說：這反應是 Proactive 的（即反過來控制局面，而不被局面控制）。 作者亦盛讚這丈夫是人類關係的天才，因為兒子的死已成事實，再吵再罵也不會改變事實，只惹來更多的傷心，而且不只自己失去兒子，妻子也失去兒子。

The author said : This reaction is Proactive ( Able to control the situation and not controlled by the situation).

The author commended the husband as talented in human relationship.

The reason: The death of the son was a reality.

Quarrelling and scolding would not bring the son back, it would create more sorrows.

Moreover, he was not the only one losing a son, his wife too.

這故事，主旨是彰顯人類選擇的自我層次，同一件不幸事你可以怨天尤人，痛罵社會，甚至自責無窮，但事情卻不因這些而改變，這一切只改變了你和日後的生活，負著疤痕的活下去。

This story highlights choices of making a decision.

Facing a mishap, you can indulge in blaming, scolding the whole world or even self-blaming.

All these would not change what has happened.

In fact, it would change your subsequent daily life: carrying on life with a scar.

反之，放下怨恨和懼怕，放下過去，勇敢的活下去，事情的境況原來並不如想像中壞，這就是作者所說的 Proactive Behavior ，也就是我們所說的由人轉境 ，而不是被外界事物牽著走。

On the other hand, when one let go resentment and fear, let go the past, carrying on life with courage, the situation one is facing is not as bad as one may imagine.

This is what the author called Proactive Behavior.

This is changing the conditions around us and not allowing it to influence us.

很簡短的故事 ,但是有多少人能做到呢 ? 當我看到那句 ' I love you darling ! ' 的時候，心中感概萬千，多麼簡單的一句話。但要有多久的修練、多大的包容、多深的人生智慧，才能在那種時刻說出如此令人動容的一句話。

This is a simple story, however how many of us could act like this?

When I read that line ‘ I love you darling!’ , I felt so touched.

Just a few simple words!

Nevertheless, it needs very good self-development , tolerance and a lot of wisdom to say such touching words under that kind of situation.

很簡短的故事 , 但是有多少人能做到呢 ? 當我看到那句 ' I love you darling ! ' 的時候 , 心中感概萬千，多麼簡單的一句話。但要有多久的修練、多大的包容、多深的人生智慧，才能在那種時刻說出如此令人動容的一句話。

This is a simple story, however how many of us would be able to act like that?

When I read that line ‘ I love you darling!’ , I felt so touched.

Just a few simple words!

Nevertheless, it needs very good self-development , tolerance and a lot of wisdom to say such touching words under that kind of situation.

每個人都有不想讓人所知的不幸事，自己選擇了什麼方式去面對，又怎麼去面對未來以及週邊的人事物？與你分享我的感想，也祝福朋友你永遠順心喜樂 !

Everyone has some unfortunate stories which he does not want to reveal to other people.

How does a person choose to face such a situation , and how is he going to meet the future and the people around ?

I would like to share with you my feelings, and I wish my friends well and happy !

1. 遇到你真的愛的人時，要 努力爭取和他相伴一生的 機會 ! 因為當他離去時， 一切都來不及了。 Meeting a true love – Siege the opportunity for life companionship with him.As once he is gone, it would be too late.

2. 遇到可相信的朋友時， 要好好和他相處下去， 因為在人的一生中，可 遇到知己真的不易。

Meeting a trustworthy friend - Get along well with him,because in life, meeting a confidant is really not easy.

3. 遇到人生中的貴人時，要記 得好好感激，因為他是你人 生的轉折點。

Meeting a benefactor in life , Be grateful, as he is the turning point of your life.

4. 遇到曾經愛過的人時，記得微笑向他感激，因為他是讓 你更懂愛的人。 Meeting someone whom you loved before –Remember to smile and be thankful, as he let you understand more about love.

5. 遇到曾經恨過的人時，要 微笑向他打招呼，因為他 讓你更加堅強。 Meeting someone you hated –Greet him with a smile, because he allows you to grow stronger.

7. 遇到曾經偷偷喜歡的人 時，要祝他幸福唷 !因為 你喜歡他時，不是希望 他幸福快樂嗎？ Meeting someone you were secretly fond of - Do wish him well ! Because when you liked him, didn’t you want him to be well & happy.

6. 遇到曾經背叛你的人 時，要跟他好好聊一 聊。因為若不是他， 今天你不會懂這世界。

Meeting someone who betrayed you –Have a friendly chat with him, as without him, till today you would not understand the world.

8. 遇到匆匆離開你人生的人 時，要謝謝他走過你的人 生，因為他是你精采回憶 的一部分。

Meeting someone who left you in a hurry – Thank him for having come into your life , because he is part of your wonderful memories.

9. 遇到曾經和你有誤會的人 時，要趁現在解清誤會， 因為你可能只有這一次機 會解釋清楚。 Meeting someone whom you had misunderstanding with – Clarify the misunderstanding now, as this could be the only opportunity for clarification.

10. 遇到現在的伴侶，要百分百感謝他愛你，因為你們現在 都得到幸福和真愛。 Meeting someone who is spending the life together with you now – Be utterly appreciative of his love, because both of you are now happy and have found true love.
