Background of development

The market demand of Lockstitch & Thread Trimmer become big.Totally sales increased 70% in 2011 compare with 2010.* Lockstitch increased 35% * Thread Trimmer increased 141% (DDL8700-7)* DD-Type UTT increased 179% (DDL9000B)Lockstitch Demand is still big but Thread Trimmer and Direct-Drive Thread Trimmer become more popular in the market.

･ The new model 1-needle lockstitch machine with automatic thread trimmer is based on the DDL8700-7 and comes with a direct-drive motor. In addition, its control box and operation panel are built into the machine head motor cover.

By the adoption of the newly-designed motor and the new model control box, the new model sewing machine contributes to further reduced power consumption as compared with the conventional model.

② Separate packing of the control box and the motor is not required. The whole machine head can be packed in one package. This contributes to reduced logistics cost and inventory cost. ●  The machine head, control box and operation panel are packed in one package, thereby reducing the volume of packaging by 0.06593 m3.

● The direct drive motor is adopted, and the control and operation panel are integrated with the machine head motor. This contributes to easier setup of the machine.

● Adoption of the direct drive motor which provides improved responsiveness helps reduce operator fatigue and achieves a comfortable usage environment.

● Waste material such as container boxes and styrene foam used for packing is reduced, thereby reducing waste material processing cost. This means the machine achieves eco-friendliness.

●The machine-head built-in bobbin winder is adopted to achieve ease of operation. In addition, this bobbin winder helps prevent the operator from forgetting bobbin winding.

● An operation panel which has functions equivalent to those of the CP18 is provided as standard. (CP180D, IT10 and IT100 are available as optional parts and can be retrofitted.)

The switches on the operation panel provided as standard can be used for other functions.

Seven different functions can be selected from the 22 different ones and can be assigned to the keys on the operation panel provided as standard.

● Auto-lifter (AK-85) is provided as an optional device which is same as Auto-lifter of DDL8700-7.

●●Feature - 8 The quantity of oil to be retained in the oil pan has been reduced.

(The quantity of oil has been reduced by 25 % as compared with the DDL-8700-7. This means that the quantity of waste oil is reduced.)

The oil pan is changed shape to flat. This flat-shaped oil pan is adopted in order to reduce the machine head package size.

① Shape of the oil pan has been changed to reduce the quantity of oil retained in the oil pan.

② The size of the oil pan has been reduced so as to reduce the machine head package size and has been fitted with a handle for easier oiling.

・ The bobbin holder (with a tapped hole) has been eliminated since it was located under the motor cover.

●Table 　　　　　　　　　　●  The table is exclusive to the DDL8700A-7.

・ The motor mounting holes (three locations) have been eliminated and pedal sensor mounting holes (two locations) have been added.

・ The belt hole has been eliminated and a hole through which the power cord and the pedal sensor cord are passed has been added.

・ A hole for the control box cooling fan has been added.

Feature Longitudinal position adjustment①

The LED light is installed at its reference position by means of a double nut system. (See the illustration.) 1 to 3 mm: To be fixed with a washer placed between the nuts. 3.2 mm to the max. advancing mount of 7 mm: To be adjusted by means of two nuts with a nut placed between them.

Feature Adjustment of the irradiation angle of the LED light②

The LED_BASE on which the LED PWB is installed can be turned.

The LED light irradiation angle can be changed by fixing it at the desired angle

Feature Mounting location of the LED light can be selected.③

The LED light can be mounted on either the right or left side of the needle bar by changing the mounting location of the LED_BASE_SUPPORT. Therefore, the operator may select and change the mounting location of the LED light as desired.

In addition, the illuminance is adjustable from a 0 to 100 level (%).
