Pretérito de los verbos en -ar

We use the preterite to express an action that began and ended at a specific time.

You form the preterite of regular –ar verbs as follows

Pretérito de ir y ser

The verbs ir and ser are irregular in the preterite. Note that they have the same forms.

Yo fui a la playa y él fue también. I went to the beach and he went too.

Yo fui presidente y él fue vicepresidente I was president and he was vice president.

Los pronombres lo, la, los, las(direct object pronouns)The direct object is the word in the

sentence that receives the direct action of the verb.

It answers the question what or whom.

The pronoun must agree with the noun it replaces and it comes right before the verb.
