1.0 MAIN PAGE
i. Every user has been given a User ID and Password to access the DPIMS through the URL
http://dpims.moh.gov.my.
ii. The DPIMS main screen has four main menus, i.e.:
Menu Login to DPIMS
Menu Download Forms
Menu Search For Practitioners
Menu Info Panel
1.0.1 LOGIN TO DPIMS
This menu is used to login to the DPMIS for administration, applications and updating
records of Dental Practitioners.

1.0.2 DOWNLOAD FORMS
This menu is used to download the following forms without logging in to the DPIMS.
Application for Registration
Application for APC
Application for TPC
Specialist Registration
(Note: These documents can be downloaded only in pdf format )
1.0.3 SEARCH FOR PRACTITIONERS
This menu is used to search for a Practitioner who is registered with the Council and
holding current APC.
a. When you click the Home hyperlink, the DPIMS main screen will be displayed.

b. The search can be done by Practitioner Name, Category or State.
c. When the Details hyperlink is clicked, brief information regarding the
practitioner will be displayed.
1.0.4 INFO PANEL
This Info panel gives the DPIMS user brief information regarding the Malaysian Dental
Council.
i. Click on the Malaysian Dental Council hyperlink and you will be linked to MDC
website (URL http://mdc.moh.gov.my/).
ii. The following information is displayed on the Info Panel.

iii. Click Here hyperlink will direct user to the Contact Us screen.
iv. After entering the required field, click the SUBMIT button to submit.
v. Click the BACK button to return to DPIMS main screen.
1.1 VERIFIER 1.1.1 OBJECTIVE
This module enables Verifier to carry out the process of Verifying, Pending and Rejecting
practitioners applications.
1.1.2 RESPONSIBILITY
Verifying officer is appointed by the MDC to verify the applications of Practising Certificate from
practitioners under their supervision.

1.1.3 STARTING UP THE SYSTEM
i. The system is best viewed using Internet Explorer 8.0 version or higher.
ii. Type in the URL http://dpims.moh.gov.my. DPIMS main screen will be displayed.
1.1.4 LOGIN TO DPIMS
1.1.4.1 LOGIN
i. Type in your User ID and Password as a Verifier, then click the LOGIN button.
ii. The Verifier main screen will be displayed.

iii. Click on the Logout hyperlink to exit the system.
iv. If you use the wrong User ID or Password, message ‘Wrong User ID or Password’ will be
displayed.
1.1.4.2 FORGOT YOUR PASSWORD
i. If the Verifier forgets his password click on the Forgot Password hyperlink. The screen below
will be displayed.
ii. Enter the information in the relevant fields. Click the SUBMIT button. The message box
below will be displayed.
iii. Click the RESET button, to reset all the information that has been type.

iv. Click the CLOSE button to exit.
v. You will be notified by email for the new password.
1.2 VERIFIER’S MENU
The Menus under Verifier are:
1.2.1 PERSONAL
i. Click on the PERSONAL button to display Verifier’s Personal Information.

ii. Click on the EDIT button to edit verifier personal information.
iii. Edit the information in the relevant fields and click the SUBMIT button. Your record will be
updated and the below message will appear.
iv. Click the CANCEL button to cancel.
v. Click the BACK button to return to the previous screen.
1.2.2 APPLICATION APC
The Submenus under Application APC are:

1.2.2.1 SubMenu – New APC
i. Click on the New APC button to display the List Of New APC applications submitted by
practitioners.
1.2.2.2 SubMenu – Current APC
i. Click on the Current APC button to display the List Of Current APC applications submitted
by practitioners.
1.2.3 VERIFIER’S MENU
i. The Menus under Verifier are:

practitioners.

iii. Click on the Verified button to display the list of applications that has been verified.
iv. Click on the Pending button to display the list of applications with pending status.
v. Click on the Rejected button to display the list of applications that has been rejected.
1.3 VERIFICATION PROCESS FOR NEW APC
i. Click on the New button to display the list of new applications that has been submitted by
practitioners.
ii. The Verifier can either Verify or Pending or Reject the applications.
1.3.1 RECEIVED EMAIL NOTIFICATION FOR NEW APPLICATION SUBMITTED
i. Verifier will received an email notification for applications that need to be verified.
ii. Login into DPIMS by clicking to the hyperlink http://dpims.moh.gov.my in the email to verify
the application.

1.3.2 VERIFY AN APPLICATION
i. Login into DPIMS.
ii. Click the New button to display the list of new applications that has been submitted by
practitioners.
iii. Identify the Practitioner whom you wish to take action.
iv. Click the hyperlink of the Practitioner’s Name in the Practitioner’s Name column to check
practitioner’s information. For example, A. HAMID B MOHAMAD. The Practitioner’s
information is displayed as below.

v. A Verifier must carry out an ‘Action’ whether to Verify, Pending or Reject through the Action
column.
vi. Click the Submit button to send the information.
vii. Click the Cancel button to cancel the process.
viii. Click the Back button to return to the previous screen.
1.3.2.1 VERIFIED AN APPLICATION
i. If the Verifier choose to verify the application and click the Submit button, the message
‘THE APPLICATION HAS SUCCESSFULLY VERIFIED’ will be displayed.
ii. Click the OK button to return to the previous screen.

iii. The name of the Practitioner that application has been verified will be displayed in the
Verified Menu.
1.3.2.2 PENDING AN APPLICATION
i. If the Verifier choose to pending the application. Verifier need to select the reason of
pending the application through the Reason colum or type in remark in the Remark
column.
ii. Click the Submit button to send the information, the message ‘THE APPLICATION HAS
SUCCESSFULLY PENDING’ will be displayed.
iii. Click Back to List button to return to the previous screen.
iv. The name of the Practitioner that application has been pending will be displayed in the
Pending Menu.
1.3.2.3 REJECT AN APPLICATION
i. If the Verifier choose to reject the application. Verifier need to select the reason of
rejecting through the Reason colum or type in remark in the Remark column.
ii. Click the Submit button to send the information, the message ‘THE APPLICATION HAS
SUCCESSFULLY REJECTED’ will be displayed.

iii. Click Back to List button to return to the previous screen.
iv. The name of the Practitioner that application has been rejected will be displayed in the
Rejected Menu.
v. Colum with the symbol *, is a mandatory column that must be entered by the verifier. If
mandatory data is not entered, the message ‘Information is required for mandatory field’
will be displayed when the Submit button is clicked.
1.4 VERIFICATION PROCESS FOR CURRENT APC
i. The step for verify Current APC is the same as the New APC.
ii. However, the APC Number will be displayed in the list of applications that need to be
verified.
