哈佛商業管理評論中發表的”Management in the 1980’s”
這篇文章中,這是最早探討資訊科技對管理影響的論述,他們將資訊科技定義為一種可以快速處理資訊的技術,文中敘述當時集中式大型電腦的發展,並認為未來趨勢上將會出現一種不同於當時科技的新技術出現,因此提出「資訊科技」來代表這個新的技術發展,並預測在未來世代中,管理工作因資訊科技的發展將會重大
的變革。
資訊科技於1950年代萌芽,近幾十年來隨著電腦軟體、硬體不斷地推陳出新,加上電腦與通訊技術的結合以及網際網路的普遍使用,使得資訊科技對人類社會造成深遠的影響,而為了保持國家競爭力,世界各國皆致力於資訊科技的推展與應用。
1、社會方面資訊科技讓我們更有效地對付複雜的社會問題,像教育、健保醫療、社會福利、國防、保險……等等社會問題,需要大量的溝通工作,都依賴新資訊科技以期能解決現在無法做到的。
