The Wind and the Sun argued. 风与太阳吵架。“I am stronger than you!” 我比你强壮。“No, I am stronger than you!” 不，我比你强壮！ They saw a traveler. 他们见到一个行人。He was walking on the road. 他在路上走着。 “I can take off his coat!” “ 我能将他的外衣拿下来！”The Wind blew, and blew, and blew. 风吹阿吹，吹了再吹！But the Wind could not take off the man’s coat. 但是风就是不能将那人的外衣拿下来  “I can take off his coat.” “我能将他的外衣拿下来！”The Sun warmed the man. 太阳让那人热起来。The man became warm and he took off his coat. 那人觉得热了就脱下他的外衣。

Mr Wind was very proud. He liked showing off his strength all the time. One day, Mr Wind met Mr Sun and said, ‘People always think that we’re as strong as each other. I think I’m stronger than you. Shall we have a competition?’

Mr Wind blew and blew. Soon his face became red. However, he still could not get the man’s coat off. Mr Wind became very angry and he began to blow hard. The man held his coat more tightly in the wind because he was cold. Mr Wind felt very tired and looked disappointed.

‘Don’t feel sad,’ said Mr Sun. ‘Strength is not always important. I think we’re as strong as each other. I can make plants grow and you can push boats forward. Let’s be friends forever.’‘I agree,’ said Mr Wind and he smiled.
