I.C.E. COMMENT
NEWS AND NOTICES
Comment: Why doesn’t CFAY hold AOB/ICR at Ikego occasionally or possibly set up tempo-rary housing at Ikego for these families, especially families with children or pets? Getting them used to Ikego for a week during AOB might be a good way to introduce them to the trains and the community there.

Response: Thank you for your suggestion through ICE. CFAY has looked into holding AOB/ICR classes at Ikego and determined that it would not be a viable alternative to the current classroom location at the Community Readiness Center. have temporary housing on or near the main base makes an Ikego AOB/ICR not feasible. As for intro-ducing families to Ikego, we do offer a “Welcome to Ikego” brief in partner-ship with Zushi city where Zushi city volunteers take attendees around the area, including the nearby beach and to lunch. Currently, military housing at Yokosuka is at a 90%
occupancy rate and it would be impractical to set aside units for tempo-rary lodging. Thank you for your sug-gestions, please feel free to contact Fleet and Family Support or Housing through ICE if you have further concerns.
