Calcul de densité théoriqueCertaines mines calculent la densité du minerai à partir des analyses chimiques obtenues
Deux approches :- formule empirique obtenue par régression;- calcul basé sur la minéralogie déduite de l’analyse chimique
Exemple : - gisement de Cu
- Cu dans la chalcopyrite (d=4.2, teneur en Cu dans chalco 35%)
- chalco est le seul sulfure présent
- autres minéraux ont une densité voisine de 3
- densité d’un minerai ayant 1% Cu ? 5% Cu ?
1 % Cu => 1/0.35=2.86% chalco
100 g roche=>2.86 g chalco => volume de chalco = 2.86 g / 4.2 g/cm3 => 0.68 cm3=> 97.14 g gangue => volume de gangue => 97.14 g / 3 g/cm3 => 32.38 cm3
Volume total = 33.06 cm3
Masse volumique théorique = 100g / 33.06 cm3 = 3.02 g/ cm3 => d=3.02
