Station expansion
The Inline Modular system can beflexibly adapted to an application viaIB IL 24 LSKIP-PAC.
Example: Restricted control cabinetwidth (no need for a bus coupler or anaddress e.g. for PROFIBUS).
Integration of Fieldline Modular M12or Fieldline Modular M8 modules
Fieldline Modular M12 or FieldlineModular M8 modules can be directlyconnected to Inline Modular viaIB IL 24 FLM-PAC or IB IL 24 FLM MULTI-
PAC. The Inline branch terminal adapts thetransmission physics to Fieldline Modular.Sensors and actuators can thus beconnected to Fieldline devices close to thestation.

The Inline Modular bus coupler forPROFINET with additional integrated digitalinputs and outputs is provided for space-saving and economical use, e. g. inmechanical engineering.
8 digital inputs and 4 digital outputs are anintegral part of the new Inline bus couplerfor PROFINET. The narrow shape of only80 mm gives you space on the top hat rail, which can then can be filled by otherfunctions from the Inline automationmodular system.
The PROFINET bus coupler forms thecentral link between an I/O station and theEthernet.
For this bus coupler, the integratedautomatic 500 kBd or 2 MBd detectionenables an alignment of the entire Inlineportfolio, including the integration of up to
16 PCP devices.Quick start up and easy maintenance are
guaranteed through clearly arrangeddiagnosis LEDs.
The different color-coded jumperinglevels on the module allow sensors andactuators to be connected using the multi-conductor system.
In addition to the standard functions of all"Conformance Class B" PROFINET devices, the bus coupler has the dynamicconfiguration known from PROFIBUS andthe "applicative system redundancy"
integrated in it. Thanks to these properties,it can also be used in areas whereredundancy is very important.
The new generation of Inline bus couplerscan be used in many applications due totheir shipping industry and UL approvalsand the additional EX Zone manufacturer´sdeclaration.
The maximum configuration is 61 stationsfor the bus coupler, whereby the inputs andoutputs of the bus coupler are consideredto be the first and second local bus stations.
For the bus coupler, the bus-specificdevice master data file required for the
project planning (e.g. GSDML file forPROFINET) can be downloaded fromwww.phoenixcontact.net/download.

The Inline-EtherNet/IP bus coupler is thelink between the EtherNet/IP host and theI/O level. With the Ethernet/IP-compatiblebus coupler, up to 61 functional units suchas digital and analog inputs and outputs,
counters, circuit breakers, pneumatics etc.can be combined. The EtherNet/IP bus coupler offers the
full Inline functionality in process dataoperation and can be easily configured usingweb-based management. With eightadditionally integrated digital inputs andfour outputs, they save space as well ascosts. This way, not only is fieldbuscommunication guaranteed, but someautomation tasks are also taken care of atthe same time.
A width of only 80 mm saves a lot of spaceon the DIN rail which can be used for other
Inline system functions. In addition, the buscoupler can be operated without additionalterminals for simpler applications in "standalone" mode.
The newest addition to the EtherNet/IPbus coupler family has a 3-port switch forsimplifying the line structure, whichsupports autodetection and autocrossoverin full duplex 10/100 Mbit operation.
For the bus coupler, the integratedautomatic 500 kBd or 2 MBd detectionmust enable adaptation to the completeInline portfolios, including integration of up
to 8 PCP devices.Phoenix Contact provides an EDS file onthe Internet with product-specific devicedata for project planning with EtherNet/IP.
Quick start up and easy maintenance areguaranteed through clearly arrangeddiagnosis LEDs.
The different color-coded jumperinglevels on the module allow sensors andactuators to be connected using the multi-conductor system.

The Inline Modular bus couplers withadditional integrated digital inputs andoutputs are designed for space-saving andeconomical use, e.g. in mechanicalengineering.
8 digital inputs and 4 digital outputs arefixed component of the new Inline buscouplers for Modbus/RTU(ASCII). Thus, not only is the fieldbus communicationassured, rather a part of the automationtask is also tackled simultaneously.
The low width of only 80 mm saves spaceon the top hat rail, which can then be filledwith other functions from the Inlineautomation modular system.
The bus coupler for Modbus/RTU(ASCII)can insert an Inline station at any position inthe Modbus/RTU network. The address iseasy to set with two rotary switches from
outside. The fieldbus is connected via a 9-pos. D-SUB connector.
For this bus coupler, the integratedautomatic 500 kBd or 2 MBd detectionmust enable an arrangement of thecomplete Inline portfolios, includingintegration of up to 8 PCP devices.
The maximum configuration for these buscouplers is 61 devices. The total logiccurrent of all connected terminals must notexceed the maximum permissible totalcurrent of 0.8 A. If necessary, aIB IL 24 PWR IN/R boost terminal must be
set.Quick start up and easy maintenance areguaranteed through clearly arrangeddiagnosis LEDs.
The different color-coded jumperinglevels on the module allow sensors andactuators to be connected using the multi-conductor system.
The new generation of Inline bus couplerscan be used in many applications due totheir shipping industry and UL approvals.

The Mechatrolink bus coupler (M-Link BK)represents the link between theMechatrolink networks I and II and the wideproduct range of Inline modules.
Mechatrolink is an open field network
optimized for Motion Control. In motionfield networks, the focus is on precise, synchronous controls and fast responsesbetween servos and other devices in thenetwork. Mechatrolink and Sercos aretypical examples for motion field networks. In the case of I/O field networks, the focusis more on the connection of various I/Odevices than on synchronization.DeviceNetTM, PROFIBUS-DP andINTERBUS are typical examples for I/O fieldnetworks.
Together, the Inline system and the M-Link BK provide solutions for the following
Motion Control network requirements: – Turn-key solution for simpler installation,
flexible system configuration and simpleI/O mapping
– Overall cost reduction with clear savingsper node, low installation and startupcosts
– High-speed, high-performance control – Precise, synchronous DIP switches on the
M-Link BK allow the slave addresses, baudrate and the Mechatrolink data width tobe easily set.
The Mechatrolink bus coupler with eightintegrated digital inputs and four outputssave space as well as costs. This way, notonly is fieldbus communication guaranteed, but some automation tasks are also takencare of at the same time.

Range of applicationsThe areas of application for the field
multiplexer are numerous. Wherevergreater distances have to be bridged, thefield multiplexer comes into use.
Whether in purification plants, formineral springs, in other areas of watermanagement, in tunnel construction oropencast mining, integration it into existingtelecontrol, or simply for use on expansivecompany premises – the field multiplexer isthe solution.
Fast planningIn addition to the aforementioned
complementary arrangement of I/Oterminal blocks, it is necessary to ascertainthe total max. current consumption of allI/O terminal blocks of a station. This is
achieved by simply adding together thecurrent consumption of the individual I/Oterminal blocks. The data required for thiscalculation can be found in the technicaldata of the field multiplexer and theselected I/O terminal blocks.
You can find a continuously updated list(AH BK IO LIST) with all usable fieldmultiplexer modules atwww.phoenixcontact.net/download.
The data transmission time for copper-based and optical fiber transmission can beascertained as follows in advance:
tCu= n * 6.8 ms/byte + 78 mstFO= n * 1.37 ms/byte + 10 msn = 1 ... 64 bytes
1, 2, 4 and 8-channel digital terminalsneed 1 byte, 16-channel digital terminalblocks need 2 bytes, 1-channel analogterminal blocks need 2 bytes, 2-channelanalog terminal blocks need 4 bytes and 32-channel digital terminal blocks need 4 bytes. For calculation, only the I/O terminal blocksof one of the two stations need to be takeninto account.
