As a designer, I seek to create unique interior experiences. I believe a well designed space should embody an extraordinary design that is unique, visually powerful, intellectually elegant, and above all timeless. I am committed to making a space look luxurious yet approachable. Interiors should be designed for one’s self, not the accolades of others. Beauty and function should coincide, enabling users to understand, communicate, live, and work in each environment. I believe the best designs are rooted in tradition, yet made to feel new and modern. This contemporary take on tradition creates a look that is current and timeless. As designer Thomas Pheasant stated, “I’m not interested in replicating the past…the reward is evolution.”

Next is an interconnected workplace that fuels innovation. Every type of worker is provided with the support they need in terms of space, furniture, technology, and tools. Multi-use work and meeting spaces promote collaboration, innovation, and impromptu interactions. Nexters are bestowed with choice and control, including variety in palettes of place, posture, and presence. Additionally, Next nurtures the physical, cognitive, and emotional wellbeing of employees. This energetic workspace collectively provides flexibility, interactivity, and mobility, as well as a supportive and expanding network.
NEXT | STEELCASE DESIGN COMPETITION
At Next, thoughtful workspaces are designed to enhance productivity and collaboration. An industrial modern workplace traces the growth of Atlanta. Triangular forms represent the link between people, resources, and workspaces, symbolizing how railroads link towns and cities. This dynamic office space intersects reclaimed wood, rich textures, and metals with modern elements. Raspberry hues, deep purples, and golden yellows act as a balance between masculinity and femininity.

Tabula Rasa redefines senior living. Rooted in nature, the use of sustainable and natural resources, unique textures, and earth tones form the basis of the design. A modern retreat promotes a balanced state of body, mind, and spirit. Through the use of symmetry, movement, and texture, Tabula Rasa blends elements of traditional Panamanian architecture and modern technology, appealing to all generations. Natural lighting enlivens the spaces, adds visual comfort, and provides a connection to the outdoors and landscaped courtyards. An analogous color scheme, including harmonious blues and greens, reflects the panoramic rainforest views surrounding the community. Aesthetically appropriate for Baby Boomers, functionaly appropriate for aging clientele, and designed for both Assisted Living and Memory Care, Tabula Rasa provides a lifestyle of independence, dignity, and overall well-being.

Inspired by classic Greek ideals and modern luxury, this home is a new look of classical style. This modern view of tradition incorporates a balance of clean and organic lines, harmonic proportions, luxe finishes, and an overall sense of simplicity. Functional features with practical purposes create a sense of unity among all rooms. Repeating geometric motifs and a rich blend of textures and colors gives each room an identity and high level of visual interest. Privacy is maintained throughout the home as there are no windows on the northeast and southwest, and no neighbors directly to the northwest. Sustainable designs were taken into consideration throughout the home making this a practical entertainment space for many years to come.

Alessia Garofoli’s accessories are inspired by the desire to examine the universality of geometry and demonstrate an evolutionary process symbolic of a woman’s identity. Starting from simple forms, geometires evolve, intersect, and explode. The XYZ flagship store located in Rome, Italy features a strong brand image that Alessia describes as “refined, minimalist, and rigorous”. Referencing three architects, she draws from Le Corbusier who worked with Elementary Geometry and expresses purity, rigor, and linearity of forms. Features of a higher complexity, such as the decomposition of shapes can be traced to Frank Gehry. Daniel Libeskind influenced Alessia’s use of angles. The use of line, form, rhythm, and texture come together to create a minimalist and sculptural space. XYZ presents an environment that complements the merchandise, exhibiting each piece as a work of art.
