El Booster es un accesorio para voladura que en su composicin tiene una mezcla de explosivos de alta densidad. Cuando es activado desarrolla una alta velocidad y gran presin de detonacin. Estas caractersticas permiten que los explosivos iniciados dentro del taladro por intermedio del Booster, desarrollen sus verdaderos niveles de energa, aspecto que permitir mejorar su rendimiento.

Su presentacin es de forma cilndrica con dos o tres orificios paralelos a su eje, uno de ellos tiene un tope para fijar adecuadamente cualquier tipo de detonador (elctrico, no elctrico o electrnico). Tambin puede ser utilizado sin ninguna dificultad con otros tipos de fulminantes o con cordn detonante.

Se usa en voladuras de taladros de diferentes dimetros y longitudes, con la finalidad de activar eficientemente explosivos no sensibles al detonador.

A booster is a blasting accessory that contains a mixture of high density explosives which, when initiated, developes high detonation velocity and pressure.

These characteristics allow for the explosives in the hole that will be activated by a booster to reach their real energy levels, therefore improving their performance.

Boosters are cylindrical charge with two or three holes parallel to its axis, one has to set properly capped any detonator (electric, no electrical or electronic detonators).

They can also be easily used with other types of blasting caps as well as with detonating cord.

Its applications include blasting operations with holes of different diameters and length with the purpose of effectively activating explosives that are not detonator sensitive.
