Page 10: Chinese American Librarians Association 華人圖書館員協會

Emotional Intelligence (EQ/EI)Five dimensions of EQ:

1. Self-awareness: the ability to recognize emotions.

2. Self-regulation: the ability to control one’s own emotions – don’t let your emotions get in the way.

3. Self-motivation: optimistic despite obstacles or even failure.

4. Empathy: the ability to understand and be sensitive to the feelings of others (put yourself in other’s shoes.)

5. Social skills: building relationships, responding to emotions, and influencing others.

Hurting yourbrand image

doesn’t take a lot of effort

Page 27: Chinese American Librarians Association 華人圖書館員協會
Page 28: Chinese American Librarians Association 華人圖書館員協會

How does this translate to you and your brand?

Page 29: Chinese American Librarians Association 華人圖書館員協會

Understanding who you are, and why you are is the first step.
