Measurement is an important topic for internal communications.
Our 2013 Measurement summit took place at CIPR HQ in July.
The event provided an opportunity to showcase the measurement matrix created in 2012.

During 2013 we had requests for mentoring support.
• We paired mentees with experienced internal communication professionals from the CIPR Inside group
• We plan to build on this for the coming year
What did you particularly like / dislike about the Programme? “For what I wanted to get out of the process, X was a very good match for me. Also, the framework of the programme was helpful without being overly prescriptive in terms of structure/outcome. “

• Angela Gostling met with IoIC and Melcrum to explore common ground to develop a pathways model and to review professional competency models
• A round table discussion was held in London, with practitioners, consultants, IoIC and Melcrum
• Phil Morgan from CIPR presented the CIPR Professionalism programme to the committee
• We shared a proposal from Melcrum to make their own competencies model more widely available on a publicly accessible website which we are currently discussing

We introduced four new categories:
• Best use of video• Best training course• Best use of research and
measurement• Best individual
contribution to internal communicationThe best individual contribution to internal
communication category has been generously sponsored by scarlettabbott for five years.
The award is now named the Clare Latham award in memory of their colleague who passed away in June 2013. Winners also receive a learning bursary.

• Our IC conference sold out with over 250 delegates attending
• We ran three successful webinars with 240 participants

• Hosted our second #insidestory awards party at the Gherkin with 177 guests

There are four core roles for the committee to be elected tonight:
• Chair - Council meetings, strategic and financial responsibility
• Deputy Chair – stands in for and supports the Chair and committee
• Treasurer – payments, financial updates and reporting
• Secretary – organise meetings, minutes, and keeping committee updated
