He told Anna Nagar Timesthat these 70 trees, if normallygrown, would need one acre ofland.
He said that the terrace of-fers plenty of light and ventila-tion that are needed for thehealthy growth of bonsai trees.

1. Bonsai is not a process ofdwarfing normal trees.
2. It is not an indoor plantproducing dwarf fruits or flow-ers.
3. It doesn’t involve any cru-elty to the plants or trees. Bon-sai makesthe trees more beau-tiful and elegant in sync withnature.
Some important factors forgrowing a bonsai garden in-clude the selection of theplants, styling, wiring, prun-ing, watering, fertilizing andrepotting, and pesticide con-trol, he said.
The 70 species he grows in-clude Banyan, Peepal, Baobab,Bougainvillea, BrazilianRaintree, Bottlebrush, Casua-rina, Jade, Divi, Premna,Gulmohar, Fukien Tea, Ficusvarieties, Jacaranda, Sapota,Mango and Tamarind.
