Draught Horse of Todays Agriculture
• Use of 30 to 35% of total agricultural area for draught horses
• Demand of agriculture: 5% of all diesel consumption in germany
• Less then 10% of fiels with oil plants to cover the fuel needs at
a farm or
• 100% mix cropping with e.g. camelina sativa (gold of pleasure;
false flax)
• ….and >100% of the protein fodder demand!

Oilmill of the Agricultural Cooperative
„Bergland“ Clausnitz
• Oilmill since 2005 in operation, accredited after EU-REDcert
• Processing of 800 t rape seed/a
• Utilisation of absorbent mineral to reach low values of P, Mg + Ca
• See company details: agrar-bergland-clausnitz.de
• Electricity production 8 times of the own demand (Wind, PV, Biogas, PPO)

Innovative Ideen sind gefragt
• Completly use of the press cake (dairy cows, arround 1,5 kg/d)
• Ration without imported soy meal
• Good experiences with press cake as a protein fodder for dairy cows
(no soy)
• Bread with 20% press cake from rape or flax (speciality protein
bread)
• 60% of the produced oil used as a fuel (PPO) on site
• Aim: completly utilisation of the PPO at the farm

• 8 PPO-tractors (Case, John Deere)
• up to 8.000 running hours
• 1 chopper on PPO
• Good experiences with 3 John Deere tractors (manufactures
version)
• 15% of the PPO is used for ignition fuel at a biogas CHP
