Germanica 2009 is a wonderful way to celebrate our traditions and achievements, no matter where we come from. May it be Germany, Switzerland, Austria or any other country, we are bound together by our common German Heritage and Culture
One of the highlights of this evening will be the presentation of the Heritage Awards to a number of persons who have made extraordinary contributions to preserve our Culture and Heritage, and who have contributed much to the sucess and growth of Canada.
A special thank you to the planning committee, the Concordia Club and to all who, through their hard work and dedication, have made this event possible.
I hope that future generations will continue to celebrate and recognize the contributions Canadians of German Heritage have made to the development of Canada. Dear friends I wish all of you an enjoyable evening.
