1. Avon Theatre 99 Downie Street • These front steps are where Justin used to busk (as seen on YouTube.) He earned $150- $200 per day during the tourism season and saved enough to take his mom to Disneyworld. Take a selfie here with his bronze star.
2. Stratford Youth Centre 165 Downie Street • The Stratford Youth Centre is the host of the famous Stratford Star contest where Justin performed – the videos can be seen on YouTube @ StratfordYouthCentre. After Stratford Star, Justin became a regular fixture at the centre honing his singing and performing with his favourite centre activity: karaoke.
3. Stratford Perth YMCA 204 Downie Street • You’ve seen his moves on the basketball court and this was one of Justin’s most frequented courts in Stratford. Justin has spent hours here working out and playing basketball with his friends.
4. Stratford Skate Park East side of Downie Street just past the YMCA/ St. Patrick Street. This is where Justin hung out with his friends and worked on his boarding skills. A new park on Shakespeare Street is funded in part by Justin.
5. City Hall 1 Wellington Street • Justin performed his first ever recorded song here at a CD release concert for a locally made CD – Set A Place At Your Table III - to support the House of Blessing Food Bank.
6. Long & McQuade 145 Erie Street • Friends tell us that this is Justin’s favourite Stratford music store which makes a lot of sense for someone who plays four instruments: drums, guitar, piano and trumpet.
7. Gilly’s Pubhouse (formerly Sid’s Pub) 92 Downie Street • Where Justin and his friends played pool - conveniently located across from his favourite busking spot and down the street from the skate park.
8. Jeanne Sauve Catholic School* 8 Grange Street • Justin attended elementary grades at this French immersion school.
9. Stratford Tourism 47 Downie Street • Justin’s signed guitar was purchased at a fundraiser by a local Belieber who wanted more people to see it. The cabinet was custom-built specifically for Justin’s guitar.
10. Stratford Northwestern Public School* (a grade 7 & 8 school) 428 Forman Avenue • This school is where Justin’s favourite teachers were Miss Booker and Mr. Monteith.
11. Stratford Northwestern Secondary School* (a grade 9 - 12 school) 428 Forman Avenue • This is the last school Justin attended prior to relocating to Atlanta for his record label. Many of Justin’s friends that you have gotten to know on social media attended this school as well as the two other secondary schools in Stratford.
12. Subway 548 Huron Street • A popular lunch spot for local high school students, Justin names this as his favourite fast food restaurant.
13. Madelyn’s Diner 377 Huron Street • Justin’s mom’s favourite Stratford restaurant was a popular spot for family meals out. Also a favourite spot for Northwestern students to have breakfast. Favourites? Peameal ‘n’ eggs, fish with poutine and a strawberry banana milkshake!
14. Scoopers 28 Erie Street • Like lots of kids in Stratford, Justin hung out at Scoopers for ice cream after his soccer games.
15. Features 159 Ontario Street • Justin’s favourite spot for breakfast. Wonder if he could finish a Paul Bunyan? (A Paul Bunyan is a humungous platter of eggs, bacon, french toast, pancakes AND potatoes.)
16. William Allman Memorial Arena 25 Morenz Drive • The travel hockey team that Justin played for, the Stratford Warriors, held their games in this historic building.
17. Stratford Perth Museum 4275 Huron Street • Presenting the “Justin Bieber, Steps to Stardom” exhibit, this is the go-to place for “Beliebers” worldwide.
18. Ecole Bedford Public School* 59 Bedford Drive • Justin attended this dual-track French immersion and English programme school for three years as a Bedford Bulldog. This is where he met and went to school with his best friend before they headed off to SNWSS. One of Bedford’s school colours happens to be Justin’s favourite...... PURPLE!
19. Swiss Chalet 684 Ontario Street • When asked in a Rolling Stone video interview what restaurant he would most like to fly to at a moment’s notice, the singer responded: “I would fly to Canada and eat at Swiss Chalet and get their quarter chicken dinner. It’s so good.” And lucky for us, Justin and his family have frequented this location on a number of occasions.
20. Festival Marketplace 1067 Ontario Street • One of Justin’s favourite hang-outs.
21. 1010 Ontario Street Location of Justin’s first date but all was not blissful as he spilled spaghetti and meatballs all over himself and the pair did not date again.
22. 2DayFM Radio 376 Romeo Street South • Stratford’s only FM radio station 2DayFM was the first to play Justin’s music - even before he hit the music charts. And the on-air personalities are often asked to be judges at the annual Stratford Star competition and local Battle of the Band competitions.
23. Cooper Standard Soccer Fields Packham Road • When Justin played for the travel soccer team – the Stratford Strikers – he played on these fields with his team.
24. Boston Pizza 729 Erie Street • Justin frequents Boston Pizza on his visits back to Stratford and enjoys hanging out with his friends here, as well as signing autographs and chatting with fans.
