• Berasal dari kata hydro = air dan zoo = hewan• Hidup di air tawar maupun air laut• Hidup soliter• Mempunyai polip dan medusa• Siklus hidup dioecious• Terbagi menjadi 7 ordo yaitu Hydroida,
Hydroconallina, Stylasterina, Tracylina, Siphonophora, Condrophora, dan Actynulida

A. HYDROIDA
• Kebanyakan hidup di air laut• Biasanya tumbuh menjadi besar dengan
bentuk elegan bercabang• Mempunyai empat belas family• Contoh : Obelia sp. , Hydra sp., Hydractina sp.
