• De la flexibilidad de los vendedores para alterar la cantidad que producen del bien. Por ejemplo: si están utilizando al máximo su capacidad productiva o si, por el contrario, están por debajo de ésta.
• El horizonte temporal (periodo de tiempo examinado): a corto plazo la oferta es más inelástica, pues la capacidad de respuesta es menor. A largo plazo, la respuesta es mayor.
