Additional Notes1. If site configuration includes a back-up emergency generator, it is recommended that the engine generator set be properly sized and equipped for a UPS
application. Generator options would typically include an isochronous governor (generator frequency regulation) and a UPS compatible regulator(generator voltage regulation). Consult generator manufacturer for required generator options and sizing.
2. If site configuration includes an automatic transfer switch, refer to the Liebert Power Line titled Criteria for Application of Automatic Transfer Switches(ATS) with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Systems 91K-PLT-48-02. It is also recommended that the transfer switch be equipped with auxiliarycontacts. Consult transfer switch manufacturer for required transfer switch options and sizing.

This alarm normally comes when theunit is being fed by an alternatesource such as a generator. Batterycharging has been temporarilyinhibited to reduce the load on thesecondary source. If the normal utilityis supplying the load check theprogramming of the ICI option in theUsers Option Manual. If the unit isbeing temporarily supplied by asecondary source, try to reduce theload below that sources capacity sothe system can resume charging.Contact Liebert Global Services ifyou have questions or problems.
Battery Test Failed The battery test has detected a weakbattery.
If there is no charger alarm, then thebattery has either weak cells or looseconnections. Contact Liebert GlobalServices for battery service.
Battery Voltage Unstable A battery cell(s) is not functioningproperly or battery system wiring isloose.
Contact Liebert Global Services forbattery service.
Bypass Out-of-Sync Bypass input is not stable. UPSinverter output is not synchronizedwith the input power. Automatictransfers to bypass are prohibited.This is usually a temporary condition.

Several automatic retransferattempts (20 attempts during 15minutes or less) have been made toretransfer the load from bypass (ifavailable) back to the UPS. The UPShas not been able to consistentlysustain the load, because of anoverload condition or an inverterfailure. The load will remain onbypass.
Check other messages for inverterfailure. Determine cause of theoverload and reduce the load. If theproblem cannot be corrected, callLiebert Global Services.
Emergency off. Recycle inputto restart.
The UPS has been shut down froman external contact (REPO) or thefront panel EPO switch.
Perform a UPS start-up procedurewhen the conditions causing theexternal shutdown have beencorrected. See 3.2.3 - Manual
