Von der Vergangenheit der bras. Industrie bis in die Gegenwart
● Ab 1870 italienische Auswanderer - São Paulo und Caxias do Sul
● ab 1956 Modernisierungsschub – Ankunft der deutschen Autobauer - Ära J. Kubitschek
● ab 1990 Öffnung der Außenwirtschaft - unter Präsident Collor
● 2000 - 2010 starkes Wachstum – Stabilisierung der Währung Real – Commodity Boom
● 2011-2021 wirtschaftlich „lost decade“ – lava jato, impeachment und Covid
14
Charakteristika des Sektors:
● Einwohner: 210 Mio. - 5 größtes Land der Welt
● Maschinen und Anlagenbau zu 84% in SP, RS, SC und PR
● langsame Automatisierung – in den letzten Jahren kaum Investitionen
● Große Diversifizierung:
Anwendungen in den Bereichen: Metallverarbeitung, Kunststoffindustrie, Lebensmittelindustrie, Agrarindustrie, Automotive Industrie
● Viele internationale Marken haben Niederlassungen
● Wenig international bekannte bras. Maschinenbaumarken (Romi)
● Importabhängigkeit – seit jeher negative Handelsbilanz bei Maschinen
● defensive Außenhandelspolitik – hohe Zölle, non-tariff barriers

Importprozess:
18
● Ersatzteilimport – keine Erleichterungen – normaler Einfuhrprozess
● Bedingungen:
- es handelt sich um Anlagevermögen
- keine vergleichbare, brasilianisches Produkt vorhanden -Prozess
- „Lebensdauer“ der Maschine noch nicht überschritten
21
Arbeitsministerium kommen betreffend Arbeitssicherheit
23
SWOT Analyse Machinery Brazil:
Strength: großer Markt, diversifiziert – Agro, Food, Mining, Oil
Weakness: hohe Einfuhrzölle, teure Finanzierung wegen hoher Kreditzinsen
Opportunity: boomende Sektoren, EU-Mercosur Abkommen, Privatisierungen
Threat: Konkurrenz aus China, Realabwertung, Covid19

• Process to adapting (comply) to work safety standards
1) Analyze equipment and its documentation (can be remotely)2) Identify risks from a Brazilian perspective, with legal professional
(engineer or equipment inspector - INMETRO)3) Adapt items that are out of the norm 4) Certify machine to applicable standards 5) Guide and teach Brazilian or foreign clients on the best practices to
ensure regulatory compliance in Brazil
SAFETY ON IMPORTED MACHINES AND EQUIPMENTSSICHERHEIT BEI IMPORTIERTEN MASCHINEN UND GERÄTEN
• Most common difficulties when selling to Brazil
1) Brazilian client company wants low price, short delivery time and invests little time in planning and negotiation
2) Brazilian client company does not detail the process, routine or task for which it buys equipment
3) Work safety legislation in Brazil is very strict and requires personalization of security under Brazilian laws
4) There are many doubts about the responsibilities for safety in machinery and equipment

• How VIKON work to compliance an safety standards
The compliance with NR 12 is mandatory for all new and used machinery and
equipment. VIKON® provides manufacturers, importers and end-users with a
rigorous third-party assessment to help them meet the requirements of NR
12.
Although these conformity assessment services are based on the
requirements of NR 12, we do not issue a “NR 12 certification” or an “NR 12
certificate”. We offer an independent inspection of machines and equipment
with services that include design assessment, manufacturing and use, safety
testing, functional testing, compliance with national and internationalstandards and technical documentation.
