tierra por cuarentadías y cuarenta noches.

Agua llenó lasciudades y los pueblos.
Cuando dejó de llover, hasta las montañas
estaban bajo agua. Todolo que respiraba airehabía muerto.

Mientras que el aguasubía, el arca flotabaencima. Por ahí era oscuro adentro, talvez el arca se movía
mucho y tal vez dabamiedo. Pero el arcaprotegió a Noé del diluvio.

Luego de cinco meses de inundación, Dios mandó
un viento secador. Lentamente, el arca
vino a parar
alto en las montañas de Ararat.

Noé se quedó adentrocuarenta días más

Noé mandó un cuervo y una palomapor la ventana abierta del arca. Como no encontró un lugar seco en donde descansar, la paloma volvió a Noé.

Una semana mástarde, Noé probóde nuevo.
La paloma volviócon una oja de oliva en el pico.
La semana siguiente, Noé supo que la tierra estaba seca
porque la paloma no volvió.
