8:30 am Depart from Suzhou Dushu Lake Hotel Pass through Nanpu Bridge Arrive at Shanghai at around 10:30am. 10:30 am – 1:00 pm The Bund and lunch (Chinese Cuisine) One of Shanghai 's most recognizable desMnaMons, the Bund's impressive collecMon of foreign concession‐era Art Deco and neoclassical architecture feature a unique combinaMon of Western and Chinese characterisMcs. The Bund also affords an excellent view across the Huangpu River of Pudong's towering skyline, creaMng a stunning contrast between past and present faces of Shanghai.
1:00 pm – 2:00 pm The Shanghai World Financial Center Completed in 2008 and currently the tallest building in Shanghai (not to menMon China), the Shanghai World Financial Center stands as an architectural exclamaMon point tacked on to the end of the astonishing period of economic growth and construcMon that has transformed the Lujiazui district of Pudong (the east bank of the Huangpu River) from mudflats, warehouses and farms into one of the world's most impressive skylines.
2:00 – 3:00 Chenghuang Miao Temple The Temple of the Town Deity is located south of Yuyuan Gardan. There used to be a temple to the local deity, which the inhabitants believed would protect them, in every city. The city deiMes were frequently real persons to whom the town owed something. Today, an arts and cra^s store is in the temple.
