Other Craft Ideas
Glue or tape crepe paper streamers onto the top of a straw to wave in celebration.
You can have them cut out a smaller rectangle of tissue paper to make a flag to attach to the straw.

Paper Beads
Cut triangles of paper, put a thin line of glue along the center of the triangle, and roll each up on a coffee stir stick. Slip it off of the stick and set it aside to dry.
After you have collected and dried a number of beads, string them using thread or craft string to make a necklace.
