Preface
Corporate Social Responsibility is one of the
hot corporate strategies of our era. Discussed and debated in management
literature and practiced at large by the
corporate of the India following the globalstandards and practices by Indian corporations
in their management as an important strategic
concept since 1990 onwards. Our Study focuses on impact assessment over
the CSR initiatives taken by the SECL Bilaspur,
in the sector of Health and Education.

Corporate Social Responsibility Meaning :corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) focuses on the idea
that a business has social obligations above and beyond making
profit and follows from a decision by management to expandtraditional governance arrangements to include accountability tothe full range of stakeholders.
Scope:CSR is a way of integrating the economic, social, and
environmental imperatives of business activities. Theterm corporate citizenshipdenotes the extent to which businessenterprises meet the (a) legal, (b) ethical, (c) economic and (d)voluntary / discretionary responsibilities, placed on them by theirstakeholders.
Definition:CSR is the continuing commitment by business tobehave ethically and contribute to economic development whileimproving the quality of the life of the workforce and their familiesas well as of the local community and society at large.

In field of Health
Financial year 2001-2002 shows a satisfactory level of
expenditure over Health Next year(2002-2003) rate of expenditure falls to
89.09%.
Financial year 2003-2004 expenditure jumped 952.17%
high than previous year.
Rise in expenditure continues and resulted gap of35.12% year 2004-2005.
Nothing expended in two financial year 2005-2006 &2006-2007
In year 2007-2008 it rises 42.18% from initial year.
Year 2008-2009 keeps rising and reach 66.66% abovethan previous year

Conclusion:
There was lack in expenditure in two financial years in
both fields, but in recent times only for health it is
increasing higher but for education there was only one
boom year.
The reason behind these fluctuations & negligence and
benefits (to people or to company) after such
expenditure will be studied by impact assessment.
