5th CONGRESS OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCHERS:
QUALITATIVE RESEARCH EXPERIENCES
The 5th Congress of Foreign Language Undergraduate Researchers will providestudents, professors and researchers with the opportunity to share severalexperiences on writing literature reviews and theoretical frameworks, collecting,analyzing and reporting findings on the field of “Learning and Teaching Foreign
Languages”
This year’s Congress will again focus on the sharing of the end-of-semesterproducts of the four research courses foreign languages students take as part of their curriculum.
First, 22 students will take part in a poster session; 10 students will defend theirresearch proposal; 22 students will present their fieldwork experiences; 22 studentwill present findings small-scale research studies they conducted at highereducation settings.
Second, nice student teachers will also report findings of the pedagogicalimplementations carried out during their practicum.
Third, five undergraduate researchers from Villa del Rosario campus, will share their
research experiences they went through during this semester.
Congress Topics:1. Development of comprehensive and productive competences on oral and writingskills.2. Development of Linguistic competences, specially lexical and phoneticcompetences.3. The role of instructional materials and web technologies when learning foreignlanguages.
4. Motivation and learning strategies when learning foreign languages.

Le CONGRÈS DE JEUNES CHERCHEURS : EXPÉRIENCES EN RECHERCHEQUALITATIVE aura lieu à l’Université de Pamplona le 06 et 07 juin 2013, à
l’amphithéâtre Jorge Gaitán Durán. Cette rencontre, qui réunira des étudiants etdes professeurs des langues étrangères sera l’occasion pour échanger des résultats
de recherche et des réflexions autour de l’enseignement et l’apprentissage de
langues étrangères, mais aussi de connaître le processus de collecte des donnéesde la recherche et de la construction des cadres théoriques comme étapefondamentale de ce processus.
Centrée sur la présentation des résultats de recherche aussi bien pourl’enseignement-apprentissage du français et de l’anglais que pour la formation desformateurs, cette cinquième version du Congrès accueillera des jeunes chercheursprésentant:
1. Le processus de recherche en langues étrangères2. La formulation du projet de recherche3. Le processus de collecte de données4. La présentation des résultats de recherche
Ces recherches porteront une attention particulière à la situation del’apprentissage des langues étrangères en contexte universitaire et à l’école
secondaire. Pour ce faire, le Congrès s’articulera autour de différents axes :
1. Le développement des compétences de compréhension et de production oraleset écrites
2. Le développement des compétences linguistiques, spécialement le lexique et laphonétique
3. Le rôle du matériel et des supports technologiques comme les sites web pourl’apprentissage des langues
4.La motivation et les stratégies d’apprentissage pour l’acquisition des langues
