Representasi Data Hidrokimia
• Setelah dilakukan sampling air, dilanjutkan
dengan pengujian kualitas air baik di
lapangan ataupun di laboratorium, maka
hasil pengujian tersebut perlu disajikan
dengan baik.
• Penyajian data hasil pengujian kualitas air,
khususnya hidrokimia dapat dilakukan
dalam bentuk tabel dan/atau grafik/diagram.

Cara melakukan plot pada Diagram Piper
• Ubah satuan konsentrasi kation dan anion dari mg/l
menjadi meq/l
• Hitunglah persentase tiap tiap kation terhadap total
kation, dan hitung pula persentase tiap-tiap anion
terhadap total anion
• Kation yang dapat diplot adalah Ca, Mg, dan Na+K
(dijumlahkan)
• Anion yang dapat diplot adalah HCO3 (bisa
ditambah dg CO3 jika ada), SO4, dan Cl.
• Selanjutnya masing-masing diplotkan ke dalam
diagram secara trilinear

Cara melakukan plot pada Diagram Piper
• Kation diplotkan ke dalam segitiga sebelah kiri.
• Anion diplot ke dalam segitiga sebelah kanan.
• Hasil plot kation dan hasil plot anion dari kedua
segitiga, kemudian dipertemukan ke dalam belah-
ketupat yang ada di tengah.
• Selanjutnya tentukan fasies sampel air yang telah
diplot ke dalam Diagram Piper, menggunakan
klasifikasi Moris et.al.(1983), atau Back (1988),
atau klasifikasi lain.
