« PRIÈRE POUR UN CHEIN ABANDONNE’ «
“ PRAYER FOR AN ABANDONED DOG”
Staggering and exhausted I am
reaching the end of my days.
Maybe tonight I’ll die: and from beneath the bushes with the last t
, in my throat,
I should like to thank you, Lord,
I would like to thank you, Lord,
for the food and waterYou always made me find! Thank you for the places That, night after night, you showed to meAs a shelter from rain and cold!
Thank you for the street companionsThat, once in a while, you made me meetTo share suffering!
dehors
In my life only the car door opening an throwing me onto the middle of the motor-way,
condemning me, in such a way, to go through
all this!
Condemning me, in such a way, to go
through all this! The pain of kicks on
my back, of stones on my forehead; trying in vain, with my weak forces, to save my
puppies
Tu m’as donné : Chien .
Nobody ever kept me with himself;
nobody, ever, gave me a name.
Since birth, I have always carried yours: Dog!
Signore… Tante cose vorrei dirti, ancora…
qui me reste,je te supplie!
Lord I would like to
tell you so many
things… but my heartbeat
has slackened, and my breathing is
difficult…
Signore, Ti supplico!
Lord! With what is left of my
breath, I beseech you! Do not allow, any longer,
man to abandon puppies on the road.
It’s sad, very sad having to rove!
It is painful to be alone and, above all, to be, simply,
“but a dog”!
Hug me, at least you! This very mome
Because I, also, belong to you!

Look straight in the eye of your
dog:Aren’t you getting
the suspicionHe, too, might have a soul?
