Christ The Redeemer Facts
The statue stands 98 feet (30 metres) tall.The statue is the largest Art Deco-style sculpture in the
world. It is one of Rio de Janeiro’s most recognizable landmarks. Most visitors take a vertical cog train to reach the base of
the summit.From there, visitors to the monument once had to climb
hundreds of steps to reach the top.

Sugarloaf Mountain Facts
Sugarloaf received its name in the 17th century, due to its resemblance to the cone shaped blocks of unrefined sugar that were prepared for shipment from Brazil to Portugal.The Sugarloaf Mountain is a tall 395 meter peak.Right at the top, tourists will have the chance of their lifetime to

The first festival dates back as far as 1723.The biggest and most famous carnival is undoubtedly the

Maracana Stadium
Football (or soccer) is by far the most important sport in Brazil.
The Maracanã Stadium is one of Rio’s most important landmarks.
Once the world’s highest capacity football venue, it was able to hold nearly 200,000 people when it opened in 1950.
It is currently able to seat 80,000 spectators making it the largest stadium in South America.
