Most nouns ending in “a” or “ad” are feminine
Most nouns ending in “o” or “e” are masculine

Are singular or plural
Add -s when the noun ends in a vowel: casa/casas
Add -es when the noun ends in a consonant that is not “z”. If it ends in “z”, drop the “z” and add a “-ces”
Definite articles and Indefinite articles match the gender and number of the nouns
