5.0 KIBAHA EDUCATION CENTRE (KEC)Kibaha Education Centre is a multi-purpose Educational Institution that is located in
Coast Region (Tumbi area) about 40 kilometers (24 miles) West of Dar es Salaamalong Morogoro Road. This Centre started in 1963. Kibaha Education Centre (KEC)
was established through Act No.17 of 1969. The overall objective of the Centre as
originally conceived was, combating three enemies of development namely Poverty,

12.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide management with right information on the manner in which the
organization should be represented in the legal matters such as suits,

Monitor availability of all legal documents, TIC common seal, Board and
management documents and maintenance safe custody of the same so as to
ensure they are available whenever needed for use.
Write legal briefs for management and interpret laws, regulations and circulars in
relation to the organizations legal rights and obligations so as to make

Provide in a timely manner, necessary guidance in drafting legally sound

17.4 SECURITY GUARD II - 1 POST17.4.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Verification of incoming and outgoing properties and goods as per authorized gate
pass.
Ensure safety and legal of all properties into the Institutes premises.
Ensure day and night security of buildings and properties of the Institute. Make sure that all door and windows are properly closed after working hours.
Report on catastrophic incidents such fire, floods, theft etc. To the relevant state
organs like police and fire brigade.
Advice on appropriate means of improving security within the Institute.
Maintain peace and order;
Ensure property of Institute is in safe custody;
Supervise watchmen on day to day activities;
Perform any other assigned duty by his/her supervisor.
17.4.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
form IV certificate, with basic militia training. JKT/fire brigade certificate from
recognized Institution.

The Eastern Africa Statistical Training Centre was established by act no 28 of 1994
and later established by Act No. 30 of 1997 of Executive Agency and officially
launched on 17rh May, 2002. The Centre is currently under the Ministry of Finance.

The Eastern Africa Statistical Training Centre is a higher learning institution that was
established in 1965 to train staff of the National Statistical Offices in 18 Eastern and
Southern African countries at degree, diploma and certificate levels. As an
Executive Agency, EASTC is operating semi autonomously in providing quality
education in the field ofStatistics. EASTC is accredited by NACTE as an Institute of
Higher Learning, mandated to conduct Training, Research and Consultancy
Programs in the fields of Statistics.
18.1 LECTURER IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY - (1 POST) RE-ADVERTISED.
18.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach NTA level 7 up to NTA level 10 for PhD holders.
Guide and supervise students in building up their practical and research projects.
Prepare learning resources and design training exercise for students.
Conduct consultancy and community services.
Develop and review existing curriculum.
Undertake individual research.
Prepare teaching manuals, simulations and case studies for training.
Coach junior teaching staff.
Assume managerial leadership roles e.g. Coordination of academic programmes
or major research projects and consultancy.
18.1.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
PhD. Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology from a recognized
higher learning institution. Teaching experience in a NACTE system will be an added advantage.
