Opportunities for Business Students
Global Initiatives Although all programs within the School of Business have a global component, students are
encouraged to consider possible ways to increase their global competitiveness. Students may choose
to:
• Study abroad for a semester or take advantage of a summer-led faculty program.
• Consider a second major or minor in International Studies or one of our many languages.
• Students interested in taking part in a study abroad experience or second major/minor are
encouraged to discuss this with an advisor early in their college career to ensure proper
course planning.
Internship Opportunities It is highly recommended that all students complete an internship at some point during their academic
career. The School of Business works in conjunction with the Career Center to provide and help its
students find credited and non-credit internships that are both relevant and beneficial.
Students may pursue up to two internships for academic credit. Credit may be awarded for fall, spring
or summer experiences but must be approved prior to the start of the internship. Students will work
with a faculty member within their academic department to have their experience approved and
monitored.
Students interested in obtaining credit for internship experience are encouraged to consult the School
of Business website for guidelines and detailed instructions.
Career Center In addition to the events and services provided by the School of Business, students are encouraged to
take advantage of the many resources offered by TCNJ’s Career Center. These include:
• Lionslink on-line recruiting system
• Helpful career and internship links
• Resume workshops and critiques
• Individual career counseling
• Mock interviews
• Career and internship fairs
• Other events throughout the year
