TOXICITYExcessive dose of Thyme can cause seizure. In general, its use is not recommended for a long period of time.
Thymol at high dose, can cause liver toxicity, albuminuria and hematuria.
Prolonged use of Thymol based mouth washes can cause thyrotoxicosis.

DOSAGEDose
External Use:
Fluid extract: 1-2ml up to three times a day
Tincture: 2-6ml three times a day
Infusion: 1-4g three times daily
Internal Use:
5% infusion used as compress
