kihelyezett web kamerát, a Google maps segítségével végigsétálhatunk virtuálisan a
Gondban
Milyen helyzetekkel szembesül a mai ember, amikor a megszokottól eltérően észleljük

Ubik – time and space distortions
Since there is Internet, we might feel that our world has diminished. We can watch in
real time street views of web cameras placed in every major city, walk along virtually
on the streets of cities with Google Maps or we can talk with friends and relatives on the
other side of the planet while we see them just as they were present.
Lately our communication devices (Internet, skype and similar programs, telephone,
radio), but mostly the devices that send pictures instantly, give the illusion to be able to
be at the same time at several places. Régis Debray, a French Professor of media
studies says that we try more and more to take under control the space but we have
difficulties to deal with time, we are in trouble if we want to compare our life trajectory
with the ones of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers. We don’t know the dates
when they were born, but we can tell our situation in the space almost exactly with our
GPS.
What situations do we deal with where our sense of time and space is altered? How is it
possible to show this with photography, a medium that evoke unity of space and
linearity of time by the photographical act? The exhibition offers to reconsider
complexity of time and space, just as the Ubik novel of Philip K. Dick.
The series "Mutation" observes structures of human mobility in an urban environment,
by breaking the movement of people into sequences. These sequences create one final
image in the form of a mosaic, where time is made visible by the changes in the
observed fraction of space.
Each image was created using the same view of one of the cities' very common
"non-places", in Marc Augé sense. Subway corridor, staircase, tram-stop, supermarket
entrance, these are regular places of orderly motion.
The pictures explore organic movements, daily people flow and self regulated
displacements.

a projektemet megterveztem.
A szabályozottság aspektusa ugyanúgy
This project is an experiment to analyze the city's audible and visual effects. I've chosen
some important and symbolical places from the city: high street, shopping mall, park,
school, and nightclub.
These places are related to actions (transport, walking, learning, dancing) and each one
has a particular structure (architectural environment, surrounding objects). All of them
represent human activities where actions appear and disappear. The process of action
and the structure of place mutually redefine each other and thus the endlessly re-
actualized signal defines the noise in perception.
The phenomena of sound and image provide signal/noise/media. They make
appear structures and symbolize processes. Every diptychs’ first part is
a graphic, generated from the noise recorded in the location where
the photography - the second part - was taken.

A képek szinte a város textúráinak tűnnek. Az első ránézésre reálisnak tűnő fotók, részleteikben mégis egymásba folyó lehetetlen struktúrákat alkotnak.
Every modern city has its own unique structure. When a new building is constructed, it needs to fit into the environment; its style must harmonize with the surrounding buildings.
In my series, I use Photoshop to generate new townscapes based on the particular details of the city. A function called content-aware allows me to create new views that are cloned details of the picture by a given algorithm.
This way I expand the cities, adding spaces and buildings, which – as urban planning – suit into the previous structures and townscape. The created image seems almost like the texture of the city. At first sight the images look real, however in detail they are a tangle of impossible structures.

Amennyire nyilvánvalóan meghatározzák mindegyikünk személyiségét a gyerekkori
A családi fényképalbum a saját emlékeimet hol felerősítő, hol kioltó
tompa referencia.
tárgyszerű kapaszkodó a szubjektív múlt vizsgálatánál.
This project focuses on the method of reminiscence. It is quite obvious how childhood
experiences and surrounding people affect our personality, yet matching these
imprinted images with present and reality is, without doubt, problematic. Family photo
albums are fading references that are able to either amplify or erase one’s own
memory. Although they are forged and unreliable from the very moment of capture,
they are still the only tactile guides of personal retrospection.
The pictures demonstrate photography’s process in reverse. An old film camera – with
an already developed film inserted – is lit by a flash from behind. Using the reversible
properties of both the lens and the film, this reversed process is creating a projector
acting in a very similar way to the recording and recalling of memories. The family
photos are merged like that into personal spaces. The simultaneous presence of positive
and negative images refers to the fact that remembrance is imperfect by nature and
can only be interpreted from one’s present point of view.

Photography played a major role in distancing landscape imagery - used in paintings
and graphic design - from realistic representation. In my works I deprived the
photographical landscape from this same traditional attitude. I destroyed the concept
which states that one can only take a photo of something that exists in reality.
Thus, I created landscapes which only evolved because of utilizing the possibilities
hidden in the raw material itself. My photos are a synthesis of non-existing landscapes,
the conventions of fine art and photographical landscape representations, furthermore,
certain forms and elements of nature that exist in our collective consciousness. The
photographs were created without time exposure but by using a chemical technique on
the instant films and occasionally interrupting this procedure. During the chemical
treatment the polaroids received balanced, equal amount of light, therefore, the
photographs emerge because of the interaction between the raw material and the
artist.
This allows to truly emphasize the creating process and the retroaction of the material
itself. Due to the technical interpretation of the photos the presence of the creator is
dominant even though the final photos intend to reflect intact nature.

megfoghatatlanul.
*Köszönet Tóth Masának a kiállított munkáról készült fotóért.
In this picture someone is standing behind a steamy mirror, in front of the threshold of
a shut bathroom door, almost trapped between one's own image and the reflection of
the door behind.
The volatile gesture of the human body was recorded by a digital camera. This shot was
later illuminated to a paper, and then burnt via dye sublimation onto the surface of a
durable but fragile glass crystal.
The viewer can imagine the unknown at the intersection of diverse times and spaces,
remaining beyond reach in spite of all appearances.
* Special thanks for Masa Tóth for the photography of my exhibited work.

- A figyelem a szubjektumon keresztül történő valótlan emlékezet lehetőségére irányul.
- Azon felvételek kihasználása, melyek a klasszikus technikai értelemben hibás képeknek minősülnek, a nézőt új dimenziókba emelik.
ötvözi, miközben a mű elhatárolódik mindentől, ami a posztkolonializmus
A befogadói aktus során
- Raising false memory through the subject of the possibility of direction.
- The technique works by the absurdity of mixed broken digital images and the
associated analog recordings to be displayed as dia frame conflict.
- On the use of classical recordings are technically constitute false images, the
viewer is raised to a new dimension.
- The host association of the act of remembering and mechanism combines
humor, while distancing itself from anything hide postcolonial reality. Not trying
to linear narrative to assume subordinate role from the exact contradictions
apologetic arguments without goal battle, but avoiding the fresh or just conjure
impossible funds - and some surprising feedback - less than the effect which later
causes domain of dilation and with it, the viewer is a circular state of mind
simulation of lull. (Translated on purpose with google translate to deepen the absurdity and the displacement of digital
data meaning-thoughtful-emptyness.)

A kép eképpen olyan
környezetünk a személyiségünket, a kint lehet-e a bent tükörképe?
Can we be sure of anything in the world that we see as 'reality'?
Photography offers multiple reading possibilities, but its meaning stays a silent secret
just as ‘reality’ that we try to decipher with our eyes. In the picture do we see a native
hidden among the trees? Or is the sight a childhood fantasy, as when we imagined
Bushmen or Indians hiding in the trees after reading some adventure books? Or is it a
sweetbitter symbol for our longing back to nature?
In the picture the human figure is blurred into the background space, as if they were a
single essence. Therefore the picture is questioning issues like: what relationship has an
individual to his environment; is our environment reflecting our personality; can the
outside be a mirror of the inside?

médiumok problematikájára levetítve próbáljam megfogalmazni ezeket a kérdéseket.
What is it that we perceive real, believe real?
Do our human minds experience each and every segment of reality that surrounds us,
or are we living our lives in a virtual trap well defined by evolution? Amongst other
things, I pondered this issue and it lead me to formulate these questions through the
problematic of image making technological devices.

I edited the analogue photographs that had been shot in the Harbour of Arhus,

hangokat hallok. Barátok-ellenségek, győzelmek-vereségek, fájdalom-félelem,
vidám és keserű élmények sorai ezek. A fehér lepedővel elfedést, elrejtést, eltakarást
akarok jelképezni. Minden emlék intim és személyes minden egyes embernek.
Fotóimon rámutatok emlékeimre, de mégsem akarok beszélni róluk.
Memories, little pieces of our lives that sometimes erupt out of nowhere, we can’t make
them better and we can’t forget them. They become an integral part of us, make us
smile or sometimes they make us tear up. We like to experience positive memories over
and over again, but what about those memories which we hid deep down in the secret
chamber of our consciousness? The negative memories are also there waiting and
sometimes they unexpectedly erupt although we would much rather forget them, undo
them and hide them.
Often it’s difficult to tell where the boundaries are. Is there a line at all between
remembering and forgetting, or is it completely blurred? We can certainly say that in
both cases emotion plays an important role.
In my series I visited and captured places, that mean a lot to me and often I feel like
they talk to me. Friends-enemies, victories-defeats, pain-fear, they are consequences of
happy and bittersweet experiences. With the white sheet I want to symbolize masking,
hiding and concealing. Every memory is intimate and personal to each and every one.
On my photos I point out the memories, but I don’t want to talk about them.

időtlenséggel ellehetetleníti a jövőbeni változtatás lehetőségét.
Status update, self expression and current social criticism. The series is telling the
possible utopian story of a family, where possibilities and future seem to be determined
in advance. In some of the pictures the same figure appear multiplied in one space, but
this cloning does not aim to compress different time frames into one picture, it is rather
converting the scene into a timeless space and undermines the possibility of future
changes.

teremtenek.
Mindezt azon a technikai nyelven
elbeszélve, melyet a Skype lehetőségei megengednek.
Is it possible to take a picture of the rain of Germany but photographed from Hungary?
Currently, we are witnessing a world of accelerated technological development. Its influences
affect us in the most undetected ways and we do not take the time to consider them even
though they might create strange situations. One of these new technological tools, that
especially interest me, is Skype.
My sister traveled to Germany for two months, so Skype became a part of our daily lives. For
me, it was also the medium and filter through which I was able to grasp her experience abroad.
Thus, the question of truth and falsehood arose. How true the picture I take of her can be if her
true presence is absent. She gave account of her life day after day, she showed everything to
the camera and I was able to see her and her environment. I took the pictures through minimal
instructions, mainly reclining upon momentum and building upon the revolving themes of
personal photography.
With this series I want to examine what distance means in a relationship and how we tell our
stories from far away? It is questioning furthermore if we require presence at all in this ever-
changing world, and if we are able by overwriting the distance to frame the emerging new
relations.

Garzonlakásban élek, itt történik velem szinte minden. Ez a tér lehetőséget ad arra,
hogy egy napomat 360 fokos körpanorámában örökítsem meg. A szoba közepére
helyezett fényképezőgéppel a hét napjairól készítettem fotókat.
A napok egymáshoz kapcsolásával, a
I live in studio flat and almost everything is happening there in my life. This small
space gives the opportunity to show a daily routine in a 360° round panoramic view.
I’ve put a camera in the middle of the room and I took pictures during a week. Then I
merged the shots into a panoramic view.
I created a software that allows to turn around this 7 days long panoramic picture. At
the same time the program only shows a small fragment of the panorama. The
clockwise turning and the changing light on the pictures make time visible. The days
join each other and the starting and ending frame are fusing into a lopped animation
in order to symbolize the cyclical repetition of weeks.
