DR. Chip Biotech Inc. was founded at the Incubator Center of the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) in October 1998, with the goal of developing low cost and high quality of DNA chip products for clinical diagnosis. We continue improving and simplifying current biological research methods and clinical diagnostic tools to meet the demands of our customers. We have developed three technological platforms and filed thirty-nine patents in the US, EU, Japan, China, and Taiwan. Today DR. Chip develops and manufactures many biochip products, image analysis devices and software as well as biological reagents.

IntroductionDR. Holstein kit is a DNA-based system designed for identification of 4 common autosomal recessive genetic diseases, included bovine leukocyte adhesion deficiency (BLAD), citrullinaemia(CIT), deficiency of uridine monophosphatesynthase (DUMPS) and complex vertebral malfunction (CVM), in Holstein cattle in molecular level. The entire operation processes require 6 hours. DR. Holstein Kit adop ts t h ree mo lecu la r b io log i ca l techniques: genomic DNA extraction, PCR and DR. Chip’s proprietary nucleic acidhybridization technique on polymer chip.
