伯克利⼤师讲堂 THE BERKELEY LECTURE
Widely recognized as the best public university in the world, University of
California Berkeley (UC Berkeley) is often ranked top 3 in the world. As of
March 2018, Berkeley alumni, faculty members and researchers include 104
Nobel Laureates, 25 Turning Awards winners, and 13 Fields Medalists. They
have also won 9 Wolf Prizes, 45 MacArthur Fellowships, 20 Academy
Awards, 14 Pulitzer Prizes and 207 Olympic Medals. UC Berkeley
Discovered 16 elements in the periodic table and Lawrence Livermore Lab
later discovered 6 more chemical elements.
The Berkeley Lecture is a unique 2-week intensive lecture series designed for the highly motivated and
accomplished college undergraduates around the world. Offered officially by Berkeley Global Science Institute,
UC Berkeley College of Chemistry and ShareFace Global Education, The Berkeley Lecture combines
distinguished lectures, highly interactive seminars, campus academic events, and in-depth field trips together.
Field trips include but not limited to San Francisco Excursion, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL),
Stanford University, and selected Silicon Valley HQs including Google, NASA AMES Center and Intel.

Course Content: image formation, feature detection, matching, and classification. The structure of process monitoring module, and sympathetic interaction module module. Industrial unmanned vehicle case analysis.

MOF: Chemistry in the Frontier
Nano Berkeley
Course Content: Molecular biology and genetics related research, genetic maps, targeted RNA synthesis of small organic molecules, gene knockout methods and protein synthesis and other latest technologies.
Course content: The composition of the metal organic framework and a variety of application scenarios, applications in optical, electrical and other fields. MOF industrialization and commercialization process.
Course Content: Nanotechnology and computer technology, nanotechnology applications in microelectronics and scanning tunneling microscopy, nanobiology, nanoscale measurement, and nanobots.

Silicon Valley Field Trips
Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, also known as the Berkeley Lab, is a United States National Laboratory located in the hills overlooking UC Berkeley that conducts scientific research on behalf of the United States Department of Energy (DOE). Since its inception, 12 researchers have been awarded the Nobel Prize. 70 Berkeley Lab scientists are members of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences (NAS). 13 scientists have won the National Medal of Science. The Laboratory’s 20 scientific divisions are organized within six areas of research: Computing Sciences, Physical Sciences, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Biosciences, Energy Sciences, and Energy Technologies.
Intel is an American multinational corporation and technology company
headquartered in Santa Clara, California, in the Silicon Valley. It is the world’s
second largest and second highest valued semiconductor chip makers based on
revenue, and is the inventor of the x86 series of microprocessors. Intel supplies processors for computer system manufacturers such as Apple, Lenovo, HP, and Dell. Intel also manufactures motherboard chipsets, network interface controllers and integrated circuits, flash memory, graphics chips, embedded processors and other devices related to communications and computing.
Google is an American multinational technology company that specializes in Internet-related services and products, which include online advertising technologies, search engine, cloud computing, software, and hardware. Guided tour will be provided to tour around Googleplex and Google visitor center. Google engineers will share their life and interview
experiences with the participating scholars during the visit.
