Speedo LZR Racer SwimsuitpCase Study

• Ansys software along with NASA has helped Speedo develop the LZR Racer Swimsuit for the 2008 Beijing Olympics

• The swimsuit is 5% better in passive drag than the 2004 suit and swimmers are going 2% faster overall since its launch

• Unprecedented 40 world records have been broken by athletes wearing the LZR Racer since its launch in February

• The likely star of the 2008 Olympics, American swimming sensation, Michael Phelps, is looking to win 8 gold medals and be the greatest Olympian ever while wearing the suit

• In a joint press release with Ansys, HP, PeraGlobe and Speedo, “HP company has presented how High Performance Computing technology is used in various industries (including sporting industry) and has made CAE simulation applications more efficient.
