In the UK Easter is one of the major Christian festivals of the year. It is full of customs, folklore and traditional food. But, Easter in Britain has its beginnings long before the arrival of Christianity.
Easter in Spain
Spain celebrates Easter Week much more than most European countries. During the whole of Semana Santa, (Holy Week), street processions are organised in most Spanish towns each evening, from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday.

Easter eggs
Easter eggs are special eggs that are often given to celebrate Easter .The oldest tradition is to use painted chicken eggs, but a modern custom is to substitute chocolate eggs, or plastic eggs filled with sweets such as jelly beans. These eggs can be hidden for children to find on Easter morning.

Easter bunny
The Easter Bunny or Easter Rabbit is a character depicted as a rabbit. In legend, the rabbit brings baskets filled with colored eggs, candy and sometimes also toys to the homes of children.
