As we do at the beginning of every year, we recently met with our global leadership team to talk about the state of the Amway business and its future. We must say, we came away from our meetings optimistic by what we experienced.

We’re optimistic because once again, we witnessed firsthand all the great innovations and plans at work to help you – our Distributors – succeed more quickly, efficiently and easily. Many incredibly smart and dedicated employees are hard at work so you can sell products, build a business and succeed.

We’re also optimistic because what we see in the world around us continues to drive home the immense potential that exists for you and the overall Amway business. We know from our Amway Global Entrepreneurship Report that people today continue to desire the freedom, flexibility and work-life balance an entrepreneurial life provides. Additionally, the global direct selling industry is growing and thriving. And the strong trends in health, wellness, and beauty align perfectly with the products Amway offers.

As we continue to work through our AmwayNEXT strategy, we become aware of more ways we can improve so we can reach the goal of doubling the number of Direct Distributors. It all revolves around providing the best experience for you and your customers. Whether that means more and better training, providing the latest and most modern digital and social tools, or innovating new products – we’re learning, implementing and planning – always with the goal of helping you grow and succeed.

晉升為雙鑽石領導人，創出一番事業，成

為了不少年輕人的榜樣，「如果沒有發展

安利事業，我們也會和一般『打工仔』一

樣，加入澳門的傳統行業，為生活努力工

作；但是透過安利的平台，讓我們發掘自

己的潛能及更多可能性，不停突破自己，

成就了今天的我們。

New Double Diamond Direct Distributors Alfred and

Angela became role models for many young people

when they achieved Double Diamond status while still

under the age of 30.

“Like many people, we would have found jobs in

traditional industries in Macau and worked hard to

earn a living if we hadn’t get to know about the Amway

business,” the pair shared. For this dynamic couple,

Amway has provided the opportunity for them to

explore their potential and create many breakthroughs

along the way.

如果沒有安利Alfred唸大學時主修旅遊，「當時對前景沒有考慮太多，只希望畢業

後能當上導遊，賺取收入。」澳門近年的經濟未見樂觀，Alfred昔日

的同學也因行業不景氣而遭辭退，被迫轉行，前景令人擔憂，「如果

沒有加入安利，在傳統行業工作多年，又沒有學習新的技能，我想我

也會被社會淘汰。」

至於Angela，在預科時已發展安利，「我沒想過做特定行業，或許會

到賭場擔任文職工作吧。」在安利環境下長大的Angela指沒有安利的

生活將變得枯燥乏味，「我想我的生活只會剩下工作及家庭。」

面對自己成就更好Alfred自言是一個缺乏自信的人，「大學時曾想過到瑞士修讀碩士

課程，再到美國發展，但是家庭環境根本負擔不起高昂的學費，只

好打消念頭，留在澳門工作。」加入安利讓Alfred的世界變得不一

樣，「安利改變了我的思維方式，使我變得自信，坦言面對自己的不

足。」他補充，安利讓每個人鍛鍊自己的強項，同時願意接受自己的

短處，「只有提升自己的能力，才可以幫助自己及別人解決問題；夥

伴就是我們的影子，每當看到他們的不足時，也提醒著我要先檢討自

己。」Angela也抱著相同的信念，「學無止境，發展安利所追求的不

僅是金錢的回報，最大的收穫是令自己變得更好。」

富足心靈助人成功對二人來說，安利事業就是他們的人生，「剛開始發展時，安利對我

來說是一個賺錢的平台；現在，我們更追求心靈上的滿足和提升。」

Alfred希望以自己成功的例子，鼓勵一眾年青夥伴相信自己的能力，

「人的潛能可以無限大，只要能找到各自的目標，定能發揮所長。」

在安利友愛的環境內，透過啟發和幫助別人成功，令Alfred和Angela得

Life without Amway“I studied tourism in university and just wanted to become a tour guide and earn money after graduation,” Alfred shared. Macau’s economy hasn’t performed well in recent years and many of Alfred’s former university classmates found themselves without jobs as a result of the downturn. “If I hadn’t joined Amway I would have struggled myself, because I hadn’t learn the new skills necessary to survive in a traditional business. The uncertainties certainly made us concerned about the future.”

Angela, meanwhile, had already become well established in Amway, starting her business while she was still studying at matriculation. “I imagine I would be working as a clerk in a casino if I hadn’t joined Amway. My life would be more boring, too, because it would only be about work and family.

Becoming a Better MeDespite his achievements in Amway, Alfred says he is someone who lacks confidence. “I thought about studying for a master’s degree in Switzerland and then developing my career in the U.S., but eventually I gave up on the idea and stayed in Macau because my family couldn’t afford the high tuition fees,” he explained.

Amway has helped to change his way of thinking and he now has more belief in himself. “I’m now more confident and able to face up to my own shortcomings,” Alfred smiled, adding that Amway also helps to forge your strength and resilience. “You can only help yourself and tackle difficulties if you’re willing to enhance your capabilities. Your partners act as your shadows; their behaviour will always be a direct reflection of what you do yourself,” Alfred said.

Angela, meanwhile, shares the same faith as Alfred. “Learning is a never ending process,” she said. “The greatest achievement of developing the Amway business is that you can be a better you.”

Sharing ResponsibilityIn the eyes of Alfred and Angela, Amway has become the focus of their lives. “In the beginning we saw Amway as a platform for earning money, but now it’s all about the pursuit of contentment,” said Alfred, who hopes to be a role model by encouraging young partners to believe in their

「尚未成為媽媽，我好像已有很多子女，看到夥伴在事業上的晉升，

比起自己得到好成績更開心，這亦是推動我不停進步的原動力。」

「我們曾經得到很多人的幫助，所以我們的成功也是無數人的功勞。

現在，我們希望憑自己的能力，幫助更多人，除了捐建安利春苗廚房

外，我們更助養了五位小朋友，幫助他們改善生活。」對二人來說，

真正的回饋不只是金錢上的幫助，而是身體力行去幫助別人。

不一樣的旅遊體驗在今天的社會裡，要旅行可能十分容易；然而，安利的旅遊卻為

Alfred和Angela帶來不一樣的體驗，「安利帶我們遊遍了多個國家，

除了旅程中尊貴的享受和待遇外，最難得的是我們可以和一群理

念一致、親密得如親人一樣的夥伴一同出發，締造許多難忘的回

憶。」即使是自己安排的旅行，心態上也大有不同，「安利給予的

保障和自由，使我們不用顧慮何時要回家，更不用擔心事業受影

響，可以真正放下工作，享受旅遊的悠閒時光。」

希望之匙開展成功之旅「二十多歲是人生最寶貴的時光，透過安利平台，我們已學習到許多

人花三、四十年才學到的知識和思維。」Alfred表示，他的朋友圈子

也擴濶了不少，認識到各階層的人，擴濶了他的眼光。

安利不但讓Alfred和Angela找到真正的自己，也為他們的人生帶來清

晰的方向和目標，更因幫助團隊夥伴成功，從而肯定自己的價值，

「安利就是一條希望之匙，只要你有勇氣以鑰匙打開這道門接受挑

戰，堅持、努力定能得到豐碩的成果！」

In the friendly Amway environment, Alfred and Angela have gained the respect and appreciation of their partners, which in turn encourages them to carry more responsibility. Angela shared: “It seems I have many children now, even though I’m not yet a mother! It makes me so happy to see our partners achieving great things in the business - it motivates me to keep working hard.”

Angela says that she and her husband have achieved great results thanks to the support of their partners, and they now hope to give something back by using their capabilities to help others. “Besides sponsoring the establishment of a Spring Sprout Kitchen in China, we also sponsor five children to help improve their lives,” Angela shared. This loving couple believe that success comes not only in the form of money, but by what they can do to help others.

Unique Travel ExperienceTravel has become much easier nowadays, but the trips organized by Amway have brought unique and very special experiences for Alfred and Angela. “Amway introduced us to many countries, and besides the excellent way we’ve been treated during these trips, we were also

delighted to enjoy time with partners who share the same ideas as us,” Alfred said. “We’ve created many unforgettable moments together.”

Added Angela: “The protection and freedom offered by the company enables us to enjoy self-arranged trips without any disruption to our business. We don’t need to worry about how our business is going when we are away, and how long we can stay; we can truly relax and enjoy our free time!”

The Key to Hope“Your 20s are the most important decade of your life. We’ve already acquired a great deal of knowledge and practical experience that others might need 30 or 40 years to acquire,” Alfred said. He also feels blessed about being able to meet people from such a diversity of backgrounds, which has helped to give him a broader perspective on life.

Amway has enabled Alfred and Angela to find their true selves - and has put them on a clear path towards achieving their goals. They have also affirmed their value through the way they’ve helped their partners to succeed. “Amway is the key to hope,” Alfred said. “With courage, persistence and hard work, you can definitely receive fruitful results.”

吸引更多人才，培育更穩健的市場架構，同時降低營運成

本，鞏固事業基礎；更豐富的產品組合、更多元的品牌建立

電子商務模式發展迅速，對直銷形成了一定的競爭壓力。公

司將如何應對？

我們可以透過分析各電子商務模式的成交額及成交種類，以

What innovative measures will the company take to build its business platform in 2017?

The company’s focus this year will be on reinforcing existing strategies and launching a range of new initiatives to help create a stronger O2O business platform and make it easier for Distributors to develop the business. New initiatives include a business development strategy that will help Distributors to recruit more talents, build a more stable network, and lower their operating costs.

At the same time, the company will market a wider range of product combinations, work to diversify the brand, and launch more market-oriented product training that can help Distributors build their business. Moreover, the company aims to provide partners and customers with a better shopping experience by optimizing the online shopping experience of our new digital e-commerce platform -AmShop.

How will the company face up to intense competition from other fast-growing e-commerce platforms?

We have got to know more about consumer trends in the area of e-commerce by analyzing transaction types and spending levels. We strongly believe that consumers are eager to seek out quality products and enjoy a quality shopping experience in each business model. However, we predict the online boom may soon begin to slow, and that many e-commerce platforms will start to adopt an O2O business model that allows them to market their brand experience and showcase their products.

Only an all-round O2O business will be able to succeed in this new retail era. By taking our strong network and product brands from offline to online, together with an effective and innovative online practice, we are confident that we can build a solid competitive advantage.

The Global Entrepreneurship Report has stated that young people are passionate about building their own business. What measures will the company take to attract and retain more young people?

Amway is all about people and our focus will always be on talent recruitment and building strong teams. This is what lies behind

our strategy for attracting young people into the business, and the company is working hard to build a younger business platform by creating the right environment for growth and success. We will continue to develop a digital environment in which young people can sell, sponsor or service customers with just one simple click. We will also initiate activities and establish social platforms through which younger people can enjoy an engaging experience and build a sense of belonging.

Amway has its own unique culture that not only provides its core competitive power but also helps the company stay young. How does the company intend to continue to promote this spirit?

Our mission is to help Distributors build a successful business and improve the standard of living of our customers. Freedom, integrity and the spirit of helping yourself and others are the values we treasure the most. Mr. Rich DeVos celebrated his 90th birthday in 2016 and we launched various corporate materials revolving around his wisdom and entrepreneurial experience that received positive feedback from Distributors.

In 2019, in celebration of Amway’s 60th anniversary, we will continue to promote our strong corporate culture through videos, books and exhibitions. I strongly believe that everyone in the Amway family is happy to be a “cultural ambassador” for the company, promoting our core values and always displaying a positive attitude.

What do you want to share with Distributors at the start of the Year of the Rooster?

The new year represents new hope. Looking to the future, I hope that our partners can show love to their family, fellow partners and customers. Spend more time with your family members as you work hard with your partners to build a stable and sustainable Amway business. At the same time, always provide the best experience for customers and thank them for their support.

Last but not least, you need to love yourself and show positive energy as you work towards a brighter future. The company will always offer its full support to put you on the road to success.

後加入蟹肉炒一分鐘； Add the diced onion, garlic and fennel and soften in the oil. Add the cooked sixteen-cereal r ice and fry for two minutes. Add the crabmeat and fry for a further minute.

5 加入調味料、巴馬臣芝士及已烘的雜果

仁，略炒，然後將餡料釀入番茄中；Add the seasoning, parmesan cheese and nuts and fry for a while. Stuff the mixture into the hollowed-out tomato.

J & T： Upper Modern Bistro的理念來自Bistro(小酒

質素，因此員工的培訓非常重要；即使部分員工不諳廚

A : What’s the philosophy behind your restaurant?J & T : Our concept is based on the classic French bistro. Our owner is

from a Michelin-starred restaurant who wanted to offer refined dishes at an affordable price, so he wanted “Bistro” in the name. “Upper” stands for upper-scale, which means we want to offer cuisine in between bistro fare and fine-dining, and also because we are on Upper Station Street, while “Modern” refers to the way we provide a fresh take on classic French cuisine.

A : What is special about the interior design of the restaurant?J & T : The design of our ceiling is inspired by a 63-degree egg, which

is the signature dish of our owner. We also added an Asian twist to the restaurant by including two paintings by a Chinese artist, symbolizing a meeting between East and West.

A : What would you like to recommend to your customers?J & T : I would pick the Confit Iberico Pork Cheek, which is

complemented with tandoori spices and orange, spätzle and carrots. It highlights a blend of classic French techniques with some modern spices and flavours. Our cheese selection is also a must try. We offer farmhouse cheeses from France that have a rich and full flavour and have proved very popular among our guests.

A : How do you enhance your guests’ experience?J & T : We are concerned not only with food quality and plating, but also

the service we offer. Even though our staff may not know how to cook, they have to know the cooking method and ingredients of each dish so they can introduce them properly to our guests.

安利在2010年發佈了第一份《歐洲創業報告》，其後在2013年發佈了涵蓋全球24個國家的《全球創業報告》。今年的報告由德國紐倫堡捷孚凱市場研究集團(GfK)進行為期3個月的研究及調查。報告覆蓋了45個國家，以面談及電話形式訪問了50,861名年齡介乎14至99歲的男性和女性；並由全球45位專家擔任學術顧問，就調查結果進行研究和分析。
