!hat is El Ni6o7/ is an abnor&al weather pattern that is caused by thewar&in' o" the Paci"ic 3cean near the e5uator, o"" thecoast o" $outh A&erica.

This occurs when the nor&al trade winds wea4en 6ore en re erse , which lets the war& water that is usually"ound in the western Paci"ic "low instead towards theeast.

This war& water displaces the cooler water that isnor&ally "ound near the sur"ace o" the eastern Paci"ic,settin' o"" at&ospheric chan'es that a""ect weatherpatterns in &any parts o" the world.
