ELASTICIDAD
![Page 19: Elasticidad](https://reader036.vdocuments.pub/reader036/viewer/2022062419/5588fe57d8b42aa53f8b465a/html5/thumbnails/19.jpg)
Al terminar la sesión el participante identificará:◦ Qué es la elasticidad◦ Para qué sirve conocerla◦ …
![Page 20: Elasticidad](https://reader036.vdocuments.pub/reader036/viewer/2022062419/5588fe57d8b42aa53f8b465a/html5/thumbnails/20.jpg)
◦ Cómo se mide;◦ Cómo se estima; y ◦ Cómo debe de◦ interpretarse.
![Page 21: Elasticidad](https://reader036.vdocuments.pub/reader036/viewer/2022062419/5588fe57d8b42aa53f8b465a/html5/thumbnails/21.jpg)
Refleja el comportamiento de los demandantes y los oferentes;
Permite anticipar reacciones ante cambios en las condiciones del mercado.
![Page 22: Elasticidad](https://reader036.vdocuments.pub/reader036/viewer/2022062419/5588fe57d8b42aa53f8b465a/html5/thumbnails/22.jpg)
C = a / b
Matemáticamente es un cociente ó coeficiente
que relaciona dos magnitudes
![Page 23: Elasticidad](https://reader036.vdocuments.pub/reader036/viewer/2022062419/5588fe57d8b42aa53f8b465a/html5/thumbnails/23.jpg)
En un análisis de demanda es: la medida de la SENSIBILIDAD que
tienen los consumidores o los productores a los cambios de PRECIO del propio bien,
de otros bienes relacionados o de los INGRESOS
![Page 24: Elasticidad](https://reader036.vdocuments.pub/reader036/viewer/2022062419/5588fe57d8b42aa53f8b465a/html5/thumbnails/24.jpg)
En general:
la ELASTICIDAD mide la REACCIÓN de los agentes económicos
debido a los cambios de:◦ precios◦ ingresos◦ otras variables
![Page 25: Elasticidad](https://reader036.vdocuments.pub/reader036/viewer/2022062419/5588fe57d8b42aa53f8b465a/html5/thumbnails/25.jpg)
La elasticidad-precio de la demanda (Ep) permite medir :
la disminución que tendrá la cantidad demandada por una elevación del precio.
![Page 26: Elasticidad](https://reader036.vdocuments.pub/reader036/viewer/2022062419/5588fe57d8b42aa53f8b465a/html5/thumbnails/26.jpg)
Una Ep = 3 permite esperar que ante un aumento del precio de 1% la disminución de la demanda será
aproximadamente de 3%
![Page 27: Elasticidad](https://reader036.vdocuments.pub/reader036/viewer/2022062419/5588fe57d8b42aa53f8b465a/html5/thumbnails/27.jpg)
La “elasticidad-precio de la demanda” , por ejemplo, se obtiene de realizar las siguientes operaciones:
Ed = (dQ / Q) / (dP / P) ó Ed = (dQ / dP ) P / Q
![Page 28: Elasticidad](https://reader036.vdocuments.pub/reader036/viewer/2022062419/5588fe57d8b42aa53f8b465a/html5/thumbnails/28.jpg)
Nota: dQ Q ; dP P
![Page 29: Elasticidad](https://reader036.vdocuments.pub/reader036/viewer/2022062419/5588fe57d8b42aa53f8b465a/html5/thumbnails/29.jpg)
La elasticidad incluye a la pendiente
pero no son lo mismo
P
Q
![Page 30: Elasticidad](https://reader036.vdocuments.pub/reader036/viewer/2022062419/5588fe57d8b42aa53f8b465a/html5/thumbnails/30.jpg)
La elasticidad indica un cambio relativo
La pendiente indica un cambio en números absolutos
P
Q
![Page 31: Elasticidad](https://reader036.vdocuments.pub/reader036/viewer/2022062419/5588fe57d8b42aa53f8b465a/html5/thumbnails/31.jpg)
Por eso, en esta recta, la elasticidad cambia,
pero la pendiente es la misma
P
Q
Ed >1
Ed = 1
Ed < 1

Es una medida de cambio (en términos absolutos)
que se puede representar así:
P
Q
p
q
q /p
![Page 33: Elasticidad](https://reader036.vdocuments.pub/reader036/viewer/2022062419/5588fe57d8b42aa53f8b465a/html5/thumbnails/33.jpg)
se mide así:
P
Q
q2-q1 / p2-p1
p2p1
q1 q2
![Page 34: Elasticidad](https://reader036.vdocuments.pub/reader036/viewer/2022062419/5588fe57d8b42aa53f8b465a/html5/thumbnails/34.jpg)
es un cambio en números relativos,
que se mide así:
P
Q (p2-p1) / p1
(q2-q1) / q1
p2
p1
q1 q2
![Page 35: Elasticidad](https://reader036.vdocuments.pub/reader036/viewer/2022062419/5588fe57d8b42aa53f8b465a/html5/thumbnails/35.jpg)
ó también así:

(p2-p1) / p2
(q2-q1) / q2 p2
