Project description:
Off-shore jetty with topside infrastructure is
intended to serve as semi-permanent mooring
and compressed gas receptor for FSRU with
capacity of LNG 170 000m3. LNG will be
delivered to FSRU by LNG carriers who will
berth alongside the FSRU. Off-shore jetty
facility (485 m long) comprises pile foundations,
one High Pressure Gas Platform, one Service
Platform, three berthing dolphins, six mooring
dolphins and connecting catwalks.
Project topside infrastructure part consists

power packs for handling the CNG

Study development for Analysis of interoperability of gas infrastructure projects of the Eastern-Baltic
cluster proposed in relation to Projects of Common Interest list in BEMIP region and the Joint
Preventive Action Plan of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Finland
In particular, the following projects are assessed in the Study:
cluster of complementary and interdependent projects Infrastructure upgrade in the Eastern
Baltic region (capacity enhancement of Latvia-Lithuania interconnection, enhancement of
Estonia-Latvia interconnection, capacity enhancement of Klaipeda - Kiemenai pipeline in
Lithuania, modernization and expansion of Inčukalns Underground Gas Storage);
cluster of competing projects LNG supply in the Eastern Baltic Region (interconnection
between Estonia and Finland Balticconnector, regional Finngulf LNG or Paldiski LNG or
Tallinn LNG or LNG terminal in Latvia).
The focus of the Study was the modeling of gas supply flows in Baltic States and Finland. Modeling is
made by means of the Plant Flow software developed by Bentley System Incorporated, as a
mathematical model of combined pipeline systems of Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Balticconnector
pipeline between Estonia and Finland. The Study is concentrating into the Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia
and Finland and not the BEMIP area, which covers in addition Poland, Sweden, Denmark and
Germany.

Gas dehydration unit is an integral part of compressor station
Nr.1 platform and is designed for natural gas treatment
before its supply to gas grid when natural gas is extracted
from underground storage. Unit designed daily capacity is 14
millions Nm3. The unit consists of:

The purpose of the project was to exclude from the existing DN700 gas grid Riga-Panevezys the
bottlenecked pipeline part DN500 crossing the Daugava river. New underwater pipeline DN700 has been
constructed by using horizontal directional drilling method (HDD). Total length of the pipe is aprx. 1,7 km,
including HDD length 1,5 km, max. pressure – 55 bar.
Scope of work:
Design development (including geo investigation);
Earth works for specific site preparing for drilling operations;
HDD drilling;
New pipeline procurement and welding on one river side and pulling into drilled hole;
Pipeline construction on river sides and connection to the existing valves stations;

Project description:
The purpose of the project is to replace the existing pipelines laying on
the Gauja river bed by using HDD drilling for new ones. Shall be
installed 2 new pipelines DN700 and one pipeline DN700 for
telecommunication system, each aprx. 650m long, with max. pressure
55 bar. Both river sides are located in Gauja river national park area
covered by Natura 2000 program with the highest environmental
protection requirements during the construction works.

GDS Riga-1 is pre-fabricated skid gas distribution station
with 2 outlets (6 bar and 12 bar), with total capacity 175 000
m3/h. All equipment units are placed in container type
building 12,2х16,1х2,9m. The container includes 5
separated and isolated rooms:
- Process room;
- Odorization unit;
- Boiler room;
- Power supply equipment room;
- Diesel generator.
Condensate collection takes place in 10 m3 underground
tank. GDS operator’s building and odorizer’s storage (60
tanks, 200l each) is located separately from the process
equipment container. For operator’s needs on site arranged
artesian well and sanitary sewer system. The design
provides for standalone diesel generator 60 kW. Station’s
security is provided by perimeter alarm and CCTV systems
as well as area lighting.

investment program on former soviet military airbase in Lielvarde
(aprx. 100 km from Riga). Facility consists from:
Tank farm - two jet fuel storage vertical steel tanks, 340 m3
each;
Pumping station - one unloading (from tank truck) pump skid
with capacity 60 m3/h, two loading (in plane refuellers) pump
skids with capacity 120 m3/h;
Additives storage/dosing unit and sampling unit;
Loading/unloading area with piping and hoses for tank trucks
and plane refueller operation;
