(Steve) 'h, that#s a great 3$estion. 4ell, that !as something that ha%%ened...act$ally, !hen !as doing myma6or in English. al!ays loved the English lang$age, literat$re, c$lt$re, so... it !as al!ays my %assion to, to2no! lang$ages... es%ecially the English lang$age.

So that became more a%%arent !hen started to live in 7ra8il. 7eca$se act$ally, lived in 7ra8il for a total often years... 2ind of a long time for a foreigner to be in 7ra8il so... 9$ring my stay there act$ally ta$ghtEnglish in 7ra8il, so... :any of the schools !here got my start as an English teacher !ere in fact in 7ra8il,so...

(Steve) started in the north of 7ra8il, in <ecife, or as yo$ !o$ld say in Port$g$ese 0<ecife, and then mademy !ay do!n to 7elo Hori8onte, and then of co$rse yo$ 2no! that !as in <io for a bit, and then !as inS=o Pa$lo, yeah. So, all over the %lace in 7ra8il.

(Ana) 4hy did yo$ end $% living in 7ra8il 4hat made yo$ go to 7ra8il

(Steve) Ah, yeah. This is a 3$estion that %robably ans!ered every day to my st$dents...

(Steve) *eah, yeah, yo$ 2no!... t !as a 3$estion that... and, and mean, love ans!ering this 3$estionbeca$se it is an as!er abo$t love, and it#s a, it#s an ans!er abo$t my heart...

(Steve) !as 6$st o$t of $niversity so !e !ent as a gro$%... t !as really interesting beca$se !e had7ra8ilians !ho stayed in "anada for three and a half months and !e, yo$ 2no!, lived together, !e !or2ed ona certain %ro6ect together, for three and a half months... and that !as in @$ebec, "anada.

(Ana) 4o$ld that be Ta3$aratinga do orte

(Steve) *eah, and that !as the first contact that had !ith 7ra8il, !as thro$gh this st$dent e;change and...and have to tell yo$ that my... the first time that arrived in 7ra8il... mean, !as 6$st in love, basically. Andever since that moment that feeling has not changed. 2ind of have this love for 7ra8il. *o$ 2no!, maybe yo$can see it in my videos...

(Ana) *eah. n yo$r !ife...

(Steve) *eah, e;actly. t#s a lifelong love affair. And !hen yo$ do anything !ith love, of co$rse, yo$ do it !ell,and it becomes magical... and tho$ght 7ra8il...

(Steve) t becomes easy. And tho$ght from the very first moment that 7ra8il !as a very magical %lace and...yeah, so that#s ho! first had my first contact !ith 7ra8il.

(Ana) Breat, great story. And before that... !as it before that yo$ ta$ght in France, or !as it after 4hen did

(Steve) !ent to France in CDDD. *eah, so... it !as act$ally shortly after !e had o$r stay in S=o Pa$lo, and!e lived and ta$ght in Paris, France for a year.

That !as a great e;%erience beca$se had never been to France before so... *o$ 2no!, do have Frenchthe language, being a "anadian, lived in @$ebec b$t... *eah, that !as another great e;%erience, and...

The videos abo$t 0Steve in Paris are so tr$e abo$t, yo$ 2no!... Ta2ing the s$b!ay to !or2, finding my !ayaro$nd... *o$ 2no!, a bit of conf$sion arriving, yo$ 2no!, !here the st$dents, yo$ 2no!... t#s li2e a Frenchmovie living there. t !as greatG

(Ana) *eah, yeah... Paris, not too shabby, h$h

(Steve) o, and, there are a lot of different nationalities living there so !e had a great o%%ort$nity to share

ideas.(Ana) *eah, it#s a big, international city, right

(Steve) *es, it is very cosmo%olitan, very cosmo%olitan... ah, yo$ 2no!, %eo%le from all over the !orld livingthere and... Paris is great, beca$se yo$ have... a lot of c$lt$re there. t#s li2e !al2ing thro$gh a m$se$m or aHolly!ood movie st$dio all the time, yo$ 2no!.

:y !ife and lived near the o$vre m$se$m, so !e had the o%%ort$nity to act$ally go rollerblading aro$ndthe o$vre every night so...
