2015 Attitude to School Survey WE WANT OUR STUDENTS TO TELL US WHAT THEY THINK!

Our school is conducting a survey to find out what your child thinks of our school. The Attitudes to School survey is an annual survey for Years 5 to 12 students offered by the Department of Education and Training (DET). It is designed to assist schools in gaining an under-standing of students' perceptions and experience of school. Our school will use the survey results to plan programs and activities to improve your child's experience at school.

Students in Year 5 and 6 will participate in this year’s survey. All responses to the survey are anonymous. This year the Attitudes to School survey will be conducted at our school over the period Mon-day 20th April to Friday 1st May. The survey only takes 20-30 minutes to complete and occurs during your child's class time. The survey results will be reported back to the school at the end of July.

Please speak to Domenica De Filippis (Assistant Principal Student Welfare Manager) or your child’s Home Group Teacher if you would like more information.

Okul ankete Eğitim ve Öğretim (AED) Bölümü tarafından sunulan ilk okul 5 ve 6 sınıf ile orta 1ve lise 3 arası öğrenci için bir yıllık bir araştırmadır. Okullar öğrencilerin algıları ve okul deneyimi için bir anlayış ve yardımcı olmak için tasarlanmıştır. Okulumuz okul çocuğunuzun deneyimini geliştirmek için programlar ve faaliyetleri planlamak için anket sonuçlarını kullanacak. 5 ve 6 sınıf öğrenciler bu yılki ankete katılacak. Ankete Tüm cevaplar anonimdir. Bu yıl okul anketine Tutumlar Pazartesi 20 Nisan ve Cuma 1 Mayıs döneminde yerinde bizim okulda yapılacaktır. Anket sadece tamamlamak için 20-30 dakika sürer ve çocuğunuzun sınıf zaman sırasında oluşur. Anket sonuçları Temmuz ayı sonunda okula geri rapor edilecektir. Dear Parents/Caregivers, On Friday the 24th of April your child will be attending a Cyber Safety Presentation provided by the Australian Federal Police at the school. This presentation will run for 1 hour and will allow students to ask questions and participate in a discussion about Cyber-Safety. This presentation will inform your child of the dangers and safety issues concerned when using the internet, so-cial media, etc. The school has also arranged a Cyber Safety Presentation by the Australian Federal Police for parents and care-givers from our school community on Friday 24th of April from 5:00pm sharp. It will run for an hour. This seminar has been arranged because our school believes that it is very important for parents/caregivers to understand the dangers surrounding the internet in this digital world and how to best keep your children safe from these dangers in the home environment. Parents will learn about internet concepts such as Social Networking, Mobile Phone Safety, etc. This seminar will also give the chance for parents/caregivers to ask questions and partici-pate in discussions about issues they might be having around cyber-safety at home. If you intend on attending this fantastic Parent Cyber-Safety Seminar on Friday the 24th April at 5:00pm in the schools Media Centre, notices which are enclosed, need to be returned to you child’s classroom teacher ASAP.

SCHOOL HATS and SUNSCREEN Meadow Heights Primary is a SunSmart School.

We have a policy where staff and students must

wear a legionnaire or wide brimmed hat while out-

side from the beginning of September to the end of

April. Wearing an appropriate hat during this time is

COMPULSORY. Students without appropriate hats must

sit in the shade during their am and pm breaks. In the

first three weeks of Term 2 your child is to wear a

legionnaire or wide brimmed hat while outside. NO

HAT, NO PLAY, NO SUN! Please support our efforts

to teach your child about the importance of being

SunSmart by providing your child with an acceptable hat. It is also

advisable that your child has SPF 30+ sunscreen applied to exposed

skin.

الصف الثاني عشر من قبل قسم لى ان مدرستنا سوف تقوم باستطالع لالراء كي نتعرف على افكار الطالب عن المدرسة . وهذا االستطالع هو استطالع سنوي لطالب الصف الخامس استطالع للتخطيط لبرامج ونشاطات االالتعليم . وقد صمم هذا االستطالع لمساعدة المدارس للحصول على تصورات وتجارب الطالب في المدرسة . ان مدرستنا سوف تستخدم نتيجة هذا

القباعات الشمسية5ان مدرستنا لها قوانينها الخاصة بايام الحر الشديد حيث على كافة الطالب ارتداء قباعاتهم الشمسية المدرسية في الفصل الدراسي االول والرابع ان ارتداءها هو امر اجباري .ان االطفال بال قباعات سوف يحرمون من اللعب باستراحات الظهيرة وعليهم مالزمة اماكن الظل .القباعات ال لعب .
