DESCRIPTION

This Slideshare presentation consists of an overview of the various tools Vermont farmers are currently using to manage and promote their farm and food ventures. Tools covered include various apps that enable farmers to map their land and view soil types; mobile software to track business expenses and farm inputs, an example of how one farmer used the crowd fundraising site; and web services to manage and expand CSAs and/or online farmers markets. The presentation concludes with an in depth discussion of how farmers are using social media.
