Es común mostrar los limites de la
restricción en una gráfico del tipo:
PERFORMANCE AND CONSTRAINT ANALYSIS (ANÁLISIS DE RESTRICCIONES
At a specified aircraft flight condition and configuration, the aircraft must demonstrate a
performance no less than a specified value (e.g. climb gradient better than 0.024 with an engine
failed on take-off with aircraft at max. weight).
The specified values are known as constraints. For most aircraft projects there are several
constraints related to field performance (e.g. take-off, climb, balanced field length, stall speed,
landing characteristics) and several linked to other mission segments (e.g. minimum cruise speed,
climb rates/times, turn rates, specific excess power, loiter speed, dash speed, etc.). Each aircraft
project will have a different set of such constraints.
The design process known as constraint analysis is
used to assess the relative significance of these
constraints and their influence on the
aircraft configuration…...

Aircraft designers use the analysis method
called constraint analysis to narrow down
the choices and help them focus on the most
promising concepts. Constraint analysis
calculates ranges of values for an aircraft
concept’s takeoff wing loading, WTO / S,
and takeoff thrust loading or takeoff
thrust-to-weight ratio, TSL / WTO , which will
allow the design to meet specific
performance requirements. In many cases,
constraint analysis will eliminate some
aircraft concepts from further consideration.
In other instances, constraint analysis will
identify two conflicting design requirements
which no single aircraft configuration can
satisfy.

T = Tsl , W = Wto .
depende de / sl y de Mach

For the aircraft whose Ps diagrams are depicted in Figures A and B:
a. What is the aircraft’s maximum 1-g level flight speed and the altitude at which it
occurs?
The maximum speed occurs at the point where the Ps = 0 contour the farthest to the
right. On Figure A this is V = 1200 knots at h = 45,000 ft.
b. What is the aircraft’s maximum zoom altitude?
The maximum zoom altitude is the maximum energy height line touched by the Ps =
0 contour. On Figure A this is He = hzoom = 110,000 ft.
c. What is the aircraft’s best rate of climb at sea level and the velocity at which it
occurs?
The best rate of climb at sea level occurs where Ps is maximum. . On Figure A this is
at approximately 530 knots at sea level, and the maximum rate of climb is greater
than 800 ft/s or 48,000 ft/min.
d. What is this aircraft’s minimum level flight speed at sea level, and what causes this
limit?
The minimum level flight speed at sea level is depicted on Figure A as the
aerodynamic limit line, which means the minimum speed is limited by stall, buffet, or
maximum useable angle-of-attack. The speed depicted on Figure A is
approximately 120 knots
e. What is this aircraft’s maximum level flight speed at sea level, and what causes this
limit?
The maximum level flight speed at sea level is depicted on Figure A as the q limit
line, which means the maximum speed is limited by the maximum dynamic pressure
which the aircraft structure can sustain. The speed depicted on Figure A is 800
knots. In reality, this limit could be due to engine inlet limitations, aircraft skin
temperature limits, or even just the fact that the aircraft has not been flight tested
beyond this limit.
f. What is the maximum altitude at which this aircraft can sustain a 5-g turn, and at
what speed does it occur?
The maximum altitude at which this aircraft can sustain n = 5 is the highest point on
the Ps = 0 contour on Figure B. This point is at h = 32,000 ft and V = 670 knots.
g. What is the maximum speed at which this aircraft can sustain a 5-g turn, and at what

4 - 5 Descender a 30000 ft.
* Lanzar 2 AMRAAMs
* Realizar un giro de 360º, sostenido a 5g a 30000ft, M0 = 1,6
* Realizar dos giros de 360º, sostenidos a 5g a 30000 ft, M0 = 0,9
* Acelerar de M0 = 0,8 a M0 = 1,6 a 30000 ft con régimen máximo
* Lanzar 2 AIM-9Ls y la mitad de la munición
11 - 12 Descender a 10000 ft.

300ft/min 1,524m/ss a
dhP V
dt
