Ethnic elderly. Do not know English. Downtown Eastside. Chinatown. Single roomhotel. These words together inevitably people have hardship, loneliness, sadness,feeling of oppression. This is the feeling we visited Chinatown Meihua hotel before.But these old people really know about their story, and everything was very differentfrom our previous imagination.

Meihua hotel is located in Chinatown, this already has 130 single rooms in the 101-year-old four-story brick building, with an average area of 110 square feet. PenderStreet hotel entrance in a row of shops in the street, very conspicuous. Came in here,you will be a kind of feeling back in time, from the words written in block letterscalligraphy "Meihua inn", to deep red lacquer doors, as well as a variety of furnishingsand shop buildings, all with years of flowing through the scene.
