In line with this, we contact you to express our interest in looking for the brightest minds in yourinstitution for a short-term program run by Korean government this coming summer in which KyungHee is participating as a training institution.

The official title of the program is "2018 GKS for ASEAN countries' SCience and EngineeringStudents" and the purpose of the event is to nurture future leaders in science and engineeringfields from 10 designated ASEAN countries.

Along with academic courses, the program will offer invaluable experiences in Korea in the hope ofimproving and strengthening the relationship between Korea and home countries of the students.

Listed below are brief descriptions of the program:

1. Benefits: Successful candidates will be provided with round trip air ticket, room and boardduring the duration of the program, and traveler's insurance.

2. Eligibility:

a. Be a citizen of one of the 10 designated ASEAN countries

Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand,and Vietnam

b. Be enrolled in the second to fourth year as an undergraduate student majoring in scienceor engineering field at one of the 10 designated ASEAN countries

(Other engineering-related major is available.)

c. Be fluent in English

d. Be mentally and physically healthy

e. Have the ability and willingness to adapt to Korean culture and life in Korea

3. Period: July 16(Mon) - August 17,(Fri) 2018 (5 weeks)

4. Application Deadline: May 11,2018

* Applications will be processed on the first come first serve basis.
